One of the most "feel like home" albergue. Friendly and kind hosts, beautiful setting, comfy room, flower decoration, garden,...everything was just perfect. Amd Aurelio the cat add a final touch to the atmosphere. Susana thank you for warm hospitality, I will visit again one day, for sure. 🥰 And I highly recommend to other travelers to stop by if walking Camino, it is just on the route. Usually everyone following the standard route recommendation and stop in Caldais, but I was the best decision to stay at Vintecatro.

I highly recommend this new hotel. The rooms are beautiful with the original historical walls and a modern touch. It was clean and cosy. The location, in the city centre and close to the camino, is perfect for tourists and pilgrims. The lodging is very new and quite easy to stay in.

The lodging is very new and quite easy to stay in. The beds were comfortable, it was a safe area. The kitchen was decent, the air conditioning worked well (important during this stay as it was hot in CdR). It seemed to be quiet so getting a good nights rest was easy. There are dining amenities very close and there is also a produce market if you are inclined to make your own food! The wifi was a little dodgy at times. We used the washing machine and the clothes drying rack which made our stay there very productive.

A great place to stay for the Camino. Very helpful locals good restaurants and supermarkets the girl in the information bureau was so helpful when I asked if she could call speak in Spanish to the host of our apartment when we could not get the link to work so helpful. would visit again as Caldes de Reis had a good vibe

There was a good street market when we arrived around...

There was a good street market when we arrived around lunchtime. It was really difficult to find a place that would serve a meal in the early evening. Finally, we found Bar La Catedral Del Sabor, very near our hotel. The owners are lovely and we had a good meal there. They have a stamp for the Camino passport also. The bridge on the Camino, as it leaves Caldas da Reis, is very picturesque.

Caldas de Reis is a stopover for the people walking the "Camino de Santiago". Very quite and small town with lots of hostels and hotels for the walkers. Best restaurants - O Loureiro and O Muiño

It's a nice small town, very charming and picturesque. Nice parks to walk around, plenty of restaurants and cafes. It's small so easy to get around by walking. Did not partake of the hot springs but this town definitely famous for them.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Fabulous apartment right on the Camino in the middle of Caldas de Reis. The apartment was spotless and was one of the biggest we stayed in on our Camino journey. A very welcome washer and dryer was supplied in the apartment which is located next to the Roman bridge. The beds were comfortable and the area has loads of bars and restaurants. Once you stepped out of the apartment you were on the Camino.

The Villa Galicia was really nice and was quiet. It was lovely to be able to sit outside in the garden and relax after a long day walking the camino. There is a laundrette in the village which is a useful facility for those walking the camino. The pool looked nice but I didn't get to swim in it. Breakfast was served in a covered terrace outside which was really nice. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Excellent location on Camino route. Was raining when we arrived and we got wet walking to our room as it wasn’t in the main hotel building but was in a row of one storey rooms about 150 yards walk from the hotel. Room came with spa access which was excellent. Also very large heated pool & small thermal pool were wonderful.

I liked this hostel, it has a large garden and plenty of space. My dorm was peaceful and clean. As I was walking the Camino de Santiago, It was great to have an extra days's rest here, I enjoyed the pool and the easy walk into the centre of Caldas de Reis.
