My stay at this property was nothing short of amazing— from the moment I arrived, the host ensured I had a seamless experience. He provided clear directions and made sure I settled in comfortably. Playa La Viuda is a hidden gem— a cave that offers complete tranquillity with a well-equipped kitchen that even includes a selection of spices. The outdoor space provides ample room for yoga, pilates, or simply working or dining at the large table while enjoying the refreshing sea breeze. As someone with a lung condition, I deeply appreciated the strictly smoke-free environment. The non-touristy nature of the area also made it a perfect place for quiet walks, allowing me to explore safely and at my own pace. The pristine beaches, just steps away, were often completely deserted, offering a rare and peaceful connection with nature. For those who enjoy breathtaking landscapes, this location is a dream. To the left, a scenic walking path extends all the way to the next town, offering stunning coastal views. To the right, a volcanic national park with incredible hiking trails awaits, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Every aspect of my stay was exceptional, and the host’s genuine kindness and dedication to his guests made all the difference. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future.

The place is really nice and clean, the terrace with the pool was really nice for breakfast and for the pre-sleep chat with our friends. The kitchen has everything you need, the closed garage was a great plus. We liked the separation between the two big bedrooms. It's a good location for visiting both the south and the north of the island. And Ivan, our host, was very prompt and helpful whenever we needed something. We would definitely come back:)

Great communication with Pedro, the host. The building is close to a motorway intersection for easy access and has free underground parking. It is also within 50 metres of the promenade and beach, with some good restaurants within easy walking distance. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. The views from the terrace were spectacular. The wifi worked well, as did all the household appliances including the TV and the washing machine. An excellent place to stay!

Candelaria is a gem of a destination on Tenerife that we absolutely adore. This charming town offers several small, lovely beaches and a long, beautiful promenade perfect for leisurely walks. It exudes a peaceful and cozy atmosphere, with friendly locals and tourists alike. The town has everything you need, including shops, shopping centers, and a variety of restaurants. Finding parking is easy, at least in February, which adds to the convenience. It's also easily accessible by rental car, just a 20-minute drive from the northern airport. Candelaria is an excellent base for exploring the island, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and amenities.

Quiet and clean coastal village.

Quiet and clean coastal village. Very nice for walks along the rocky coastline, also a bit of shopping and dining in the small streets. Not a tourist-packed place like in the southern 'resort' cities of Las Americas and Adeje, but a really nice and relaxing destination. Temperatures in the north are not 'colder' than in the south, but the microclimate is much more soothing then in the south of the very same island.

The old part of Candelaria, the square with the statues of...

The old part of Candelaria, the square with the statues of the Guanches are wonderful. In the new part - Punta Larga there are many restaurants and a wonderful patisserie. And it's all on the Avenida Maritima, drinking your beer and watching the waves.....

Candelaria is a lovely European town, not touristy like the...

Candelaria is a lovely European town, not touristy like the area on the south/west of Tenerife. It was lovely for a couple of days exploring - the basilica is impressive and beautiful, there are plenty of cafes and nice places to eat along the seafront, and it has easy and quick bus connections to Santa Cruz. The black beaches are beautiful but perhaps the sea is a bit rough for swimming here.

I came here to visit friends. The place is well connected with the rest of the island and it is very close to the main city (Santa Cruz) and close enough to amenities in the south of the island. It is a tranquil place, with a very nice promenade next to the beach, family friendly.

Candelaria has some great restaurants such as Taberna Giron for fine food, Jimmy Food for good burgers and local craft beers from the Canary Island as well as many other good decent restaurants on the beach promenade. Another one of our highlights is Eclectico Cafe which has great breakfast/lunch.

Very nice apartment, and very clean. It offered alll we needed, good location near beach, shops, old town of Candelaria. You can reach the whole Island easily from there with buses. Apartment was cozy and it includs everything you need for a good holiday, even beach chairs and towels. Thank you once again Fran!

Brilliant location in Candelaria close to beaches, basilica and town. Perfect for us for visiting family and friends in the old town. The apartment was spotlessly clean and modern . Everything you needed was provided . The check in was very easy . The host was very responsive and kind . Highly recommended!

Great apartment with all that is needed. Super friendly host who looks after their guests. Free public parking nearby. Candelaria is great for long walks by the beach, has several cafes to drink an espresso or get cheap pizza, supermarkets, but it's also very quick to reach Santa Cruz.

usual breakfast that you would expect in a hotel, the rooms were simple but nice, nothing to write home about did not have a mini fridge but we could ask for one the staff was very friendly and very helpful walking distance to the beach and some great little local restaurants
