Dinner in the main restaurant was excellent - really intersting and delicious local dishes and a well priced wine list. The buffet breakfast was also very good. What really stands out here is the location; waking up to birdsong and the distant sound or waterfalls and wandering before breakfast in the tranquil grounds. We can't recommend the historic garden park highly enough and the set lunch in the 'tourist' restaurant was also excellent value, Spa also very good

I loved the delightful decor and the comfort of the...

I loved the delightful decor and the comfort of the apartment in the farmhouse. It was very comfortable and the surrounding countryside and town lovely. The sounds of the river and waterfall was relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked and having meals on the terrace was delightful. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The town folk were very friendly and eager to share their stories and lives with us when we met up on walks. You need to bring food to prepare as the town is very little, but it's hard to beat sunsets with red wine and tapas on the terrace. You just need to prepare a little before arriving. It is close to Monasterio de Piedra and other nearby sites, so a comfortable place to relax between busy days.

Small and welcoming village, good for spending a couple of days. Too deserted for my taste, there's nothing to do besides take a walk; to see anything more you have to get in the car. There are no services in the village, just a bar that also serves as a shop with the basics.

A small village with few sights to see, but a very pleasant walk along the Piedra River. Fantastic service and atmosphere at Bar Sala (the only bar in village), with a short but delicious menu and good value for money.

The Tranquera reservoir is a real treat, and the scenery is...

The Tranquera reservoir is a real treat, and the scenery is beautiful. The village doesn't have a shop, so you need to bring the essentials if you haven't booked meals. There's no shop in the next village either, but the bar there kindly provided us with breakfast for the first day, and it was excellent.
