The apartment we stayed in was awesome. It is big, with two floors, a fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, a downstairs and upstairs bathroom and a very comfy double bed. The highlight of our stay was a spa bath which worked perfectly, with plenty of hot water thanks to a huge boiler. Everything was clean and worked well. The apartment looks modern and cosy. The aircon worked really well and was quiet. Overall, the flat was gorgeous and we would stay again. The outside area is also nice, with lots of barbecues and seating area. The private car park is big. It is also a very quiet area with nice countryside. Apart from an occasional car passing by, you can only hear the lovely sounds of the countryside: donkeys, chickens, sheep... Plus we were staying off-season and we alone 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed so it was extra quiet. It was a relaxing stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Finca El Cotinal. Laura looked after us during our three-night stay and was truly wonderful – so welcoming, friendly and always ready to help. This is not your typical hotel, which we actually appreciated, as it adds to the charm and authenticity of the place. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious! The location itself is so peaceful and calm, surrounded by nature, which made for such a relaxing and grounding experience.

Beautiful setting in rural Spain. Peaceful. Comfortable with friendly staff. No English spoken but was easy to work things out. Very friendly and accommodating. Lovely breakfast.

A typical village in the Raia region (the area between Extremadura and the Portuguese Alentejo). The locals are very friendly and welcoming. You can walk to the only bar in Las Casiñas, La Tasca Raiana, where María and Tito will serve you and recommend nearby places. To get to other bars or restaurants, you'll need a car, but it's only a 5-minute drive.

Small town, perfect for relaxing.

Small town, perfect for relaxing. We ate at a bar and were a little disappointed because we are Portuguese and the restaurant was Portuguese, we wanted tortilla... The quality of the food is quite good, but the decor is a bit old-fashioned. The outdoor seating area is more pleasant than the interior.
