Everything was perfect! Location, comfort, place for relaxing and drinking a juice under sunset admiring castle on top of mountain. Laundry easy to use, dinner was a true pilgrim experience. And as a bonus hospitaleiro Daniel showed us Orion constellation in the sky when we left next morning still in the darkness! I will never forget.

You can tell they care. The place was full of lovely details, and it felt like home. The downstairs area was with free coffee and tea. The room and bathroom were very big, the only bad thing I had to leave early that day would have loved to enjoy it much longer. Breakfast included too very delicious

What guests said about Castrojeriz:

I took a nice walk to the ruins of the castle on the hill.

I took a nice walk to the ruins of the castle on the hill. It belonged to a prominent family. Castrojeriz is a quiet town at the foot of the hill with a few bars and many inns catering to Camino walkers. The surrounding area is quite deserted and dry, typical of Don Cijote.

Beautiful village. We arrived by car; very easy to find.

Beautiful village. We arrived by car; very easy to find. Very clean, large, well-heated room. We ate an excellent Korean dish with Koreans who were walking the Camino de Santiago. A very pleasant evening.

It's a town on the Camino de Santiago, the longest stop along its entire route. The town is beautiful, with convents to see, the ruins of San Antonio, and the main square. It's easy to explore on foot, with plenty of hostels and convenient hours. It's best to eat lunch and dinner early because places close early. A truly beautiful town.

The journey to Castrojeriz is fantastic.

The journey to Castrojeriz is fantastic. The area is very fascinating and relaxing. Hiking up to the castle is definitely worthwhile. The view is sensational! There are various options for accommodation and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the hotel's restaurant (Emebed posado). Most accommodations have a lovely terrace.

This was a wonderful place to stay whilst walking the Camino. The hotel is beautiful with stunning decor. My room was fabulous - so very confortable and luxurious. Margarita, who owns the hotel, takes such a pride in the beautiful building. The attention to detail everywhere is very clear. I enjoyed breakfast and the home-cooked dinner in the restaurant with the fantastic views as well as a glass of wine on the terrace. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a touch of luxury.

A most stunning retreat in a rural village along the Camino de Santiago. The gardens are magical and there is a sense of peace and tranquillity at every turn. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. Our dining experiences were perfect for both dinner and breakfast. We felt very looked after and relaxed.

The albergue had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The evening meal in particular was excellent, and I could only highly recommend this place to other pilgrims. Castrojeriz is a beautiful little place and real highlight on our journey.

Juan was an excellent host. Smell of incense in the lobby made me feel at home. Great view of the city below from the room. It was so quiet at night and I slept peacefully. Great, central location. Castrojeriz a beautiful town. Personally my favorite on the Camino.

Lovely property - it’s like staying in an historic albergue / hostel on the Camino - but with bonus hotel amenities. Fernando is a great host who speaks perfect English. They have a bar and offer a good value supper in their restaurant.
