There is not much to do in Colombres, but Playa de la Franca...

There is not much to do in Colombres, but Playa de la Franca or the little town of Llanes are wonderful and nearby, well worth the trip. Gijon is also available by car. Unfortunately, severe wildfires made our Picos de Europa national park plans impossible.

A beautiful, typical Asturian village; as soon as you step outside you're surrounded by green meadows with cows. It has several good places to eat lunch and dinner, and you can even bring food back to your apartment. There's a pharmacy and two small supermarkets. A truly charming village.

Overall, we loved everything; it was perfect for the trip we were taking. Very clean, very nice, everything worked perfectly, and the staff was lovely. We absolutely loved it. Highly recommended. When we go back, we'll definitely stay here again.

Well located, able to leave the car next to the accommodation, comfortable bedding, no services, the nearest village is 4 kilometers away, lacks an electric coffee maker, the flooring is a bit old, difficult access for a disabled person

The Indianos Museum was wonderful.

The Indianos Museum was wonderful. There are three grocery stores with everything you could need, and the people are very friendly. The town itself is special, with all the houses of the Indiano families, its streets, and its people.

Franco beach is like something out of a pirate's play.

Franco beach is like something out of a pirate's play. I was captivated the first time I saw it, and it was winter. I returned for a weekend in September to enjoy the last swim of the season, and the weather was perfect: the water was clean and the temperature ideal. The surrounding area is spectacular. We finished our trip in Garabandal to visit the pine sanctuary, which is 37 km away.

Excellent hotel. Lovely rooms, great views and lovely staff. The beds were comfy, great pillows and a bath and showers and very quiet at night. The sweets left for us were appreciated. We didn’t have breakfast. I would recommend getting a taxi from the village to the hotel. We walked from the camino there and got the lady at the hotel to book taxis for us (10 euros) for us. Had dinner at the excellent Mexican restaurant and my pals loved the margaritas.

A long day on the Camino del Norte, we needed a clean comfortable and reasonably priced stay with privacy, this hotel delivered exactly what we wanted, right on the Camino, 150 metres from an excellent Taberna, and 100 metres from an excellent place for breakfast, contact with owners was seamless, and the "code for front and room doors" worked absolutely fine...would recommend.

We were happy to stay at one of the “Indian” houses constructed by emigrants who came back to Asturias from Mexico. It’s a part of history of Colombres. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and clean. There are a lot of windows in it, so it’s well lit. Teresa is a nice and responsive person, she helped us a lot.

The apartment is very modern, clean and will all the amenities we needed. The communication regarding collecting the key could have been better but overall the property is excellent. Colombres is also an interesting little town with great access to lovely beaches
