We had an amazing stay! The apartment was absolutely fantastic — very comfortable, beautifully arranged, and with such a warm, pleasant atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. The kitchen was superbly equipped — there were plenty of spices, food containers, and everything you could possibly need for cooking. The little details really made a difference. We also loved the cozy bathrobes provided for guests — such a nice touch! The overall vibe of the place was wonderful, stylish yet homely, and you could tell a lot of care went into preparing the apartment. Everything we needed was there. Above all, the owner was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive — truly outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended! We would definitely love to come back.

January 2025. We had a fantastic stay at this appartment. It was very comfortable and ideal for a family with a child. The appartment is clean, well-equipped, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The access to the private pool was a wonderful bonus. The location is excellent - just a short walk to both the wild beach and the city’s municipal beach, as well as only 5 minutes to the center, shops, and everything else you might need. The service was also outstanding, ensuring we had a seamless and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a perfect family-friendly getaway!

From the window you can enjoy the beautiful view of Montana Roja Within just 5 minutes you have large variety of restaurants/cafe's, supermarket/minimarkets, Farmacia, shopping, beaches, watersport centers.... The house was Devine. Tastefully decorated with everything you could want. We were warmly greeted by Nico who was on hand for any advice/travel tips and any issues we had. The beds are super comfy and upstairs offer charming balconies with marvellous sea views. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi are a joy too. The house is situated about half a mile from the nearest shop/restaurant but beyond that it’s pretty wholesome. Make sure you head for a small Piazza next to a kids park by the sea and sample the fish restaurants along the way. The beach near the house is wild/rugged and totally natural. Great for surfers too. There’s the odd bare bottom lying about but that wasn’t a problem for us. Somedays the wind can whip up a frenzy as long as you’re prepared for it. Again these islands are alive, volcanic and close enough to the Saharan breeze. Car is essential I’d say because the island has so much to see. I’m coming back for sure.

Peaceful location.

Peaceful location. Lovely family run restaurants with really good value for food and drinks. I can recommend familiar restaurant but happy to say never got bad value. Very easy to get taxi but very walkable. It was windy.

Beautiful friendly place , with a very relaxed atmosphere at all times , locals are extremely friendly and always there to help you if your polite and show them respect they are the same , ideal location for wind surfing as you see the skys filled with all the different colours of sails If your looking to keep away from the biss then this is ideal ,

We spent a week in the north of Tenerife, but due to a canceled flight, we went south for one night to be close to the airport. El Médano was fine for a day, but I wouldn't want to spend an entire holiday there. There were too many things geared towards tourists, which isn't always a bad thing, but the food quality was less varied (no Canarian dishes) and it was simply too crowded for us.

Love the area.

Love the area. Not too touristy with locals using the beach- bars - restaurants etc. nice vibe at night time. Safe and friendly. Excellent walks from centre. Bus service close. Nature reserve areas and easy hill walking. Long beach walks. We loved the walk to Los Abrigos, (easy ish 4.5 miles) having a meal and wine and then a taxi back (14 euros) 5 mins drive to TF1 motorway and routes to anywhere on the island. Good local supermarkets and local market on Saturday and Wednesday. Brilliant fish mongers at Los Abrigos 5 minutes by car. Manfreds soul bar our favourite place but lots of choices for food and drinks with coastal views.

El Medano is totally different than the other more common...

El Medano is totally different than the other more common tourist centres further up the coast. Aimed for surfing types, wind/foil/kite and more. Enough nice restaurants and cafes for local food. No late night life but Fri and Saturdays are usually still lively. Beaches pristine and can walk for kms. Have to mention the wind, as it's almost always blowing, but that's what draws the surfers.

As my husband is not very mobile, El Medano is ideal as it is mainly flat and easy to walk. There is a wooden boardwalk along the sea front. Restaurants, shops a large square and a childrens' play area are all within easy reach.

Everything was great about this trip. I went there for 9 days for remote working and enjoy Tenerife, and I didn’t regret my choice. - Amazing people/community with a lot of activities organised - cleaning of the common area all the time - working area - amazing swimming pool that is taken care of everyday - free parking if you have a car, 15 min from the main places. if you don’t have a car, shuttles are organised. Everything is made so you can enjoy your stay there. Thank you!

Friendly hotel in the centre of El Medano; I really liked the big common areas, with equipped kitchen, dining room (breakfast included) and living room. Nice terrace with bar, chance to borrow surf boards for free (and also to book surf lessons from the hostel staff). The beach and lots of cafes and restaurants are just a couple of minutes walk.

Fantastic location, excellently equipped and beautifully clean. El Medano is very special, it remains a traditional Spanish town. It’s not a purpose built resort aimed solely at tourism. This apartment has all the qualities of a traditional Spanish home with hotel standard facilities.

The apartment is lovely! Perfect location for an adventurous time in Tenerife, great contact with the host, we got everything we needed. The apartment is very spacious, modern, and well equipped. Would recommend for sure!

Spacious apartment, comfortable bed, water pressure was adequate, which is not evident everywhere in Tenerife. The airport was close and you could also go up to Teide via a nearby road.
