Perfect location. Nice open apartment, very quiet, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, large bathroom, easy access with elevator. From the window you can enjoy the beautiful view of Montana Roja Within just 5 minutes you have large variety of restaurants/cafe's, supermarket/minimarkets, Farmacia, shopping, beaches, watersport centers.... The infamous MotuNui cafe is just across the street.

The house was Devine. Tastefully decorated with everything you could want. We were warmly greeted by Nico who was on hand for any advice/travel tips and any issues we had. The beds are super comfy and upstairs offer charming balconies with marvellous sea views. The saltwater pool and jacuzzi are a joy too. The house is situated about half a mile from the nearest shop/restaurant but beyond that it’s pretty wholesome. Make sure you head for a small Piazza next to a kids park by the sea and sample the fish restaurants along the way. The beach near the house is wild/rugged and totally natural. Great for surfers too. There’s the odd bare bottom lying about but that wasn’t a problem for us. Somedays the wind can whip up a frenzy as long as you’re prepared for it. Again these islands are alive, volcanic and close enough to the Saharan breeze. Car is essential I’d say because the island has so much to see. I’m coming back for sure.

Peaceful location. Lovely family run restaurants with really good value for food and drinks. I can recommend familiar restaurant but happy to say never got bad value. Very easy to get taxi but very walkable. It was windy.

We spent a week in the north of Tenerife, but due to a canceled flight, we went south for one night to be close to the airport. El Médano was fine for a day, but I wouldn't want to spend an entire holiday there. There were too many things geared towards tourists, which isn't always a bad thing, but the food quality was less varied (no Canarian dishes) and it was simply too crowded for us.

Love the area. Not too touristy with locals using the beach- bars - restaurants etc. nice vibe at night time. Safe and friendly. Excellent walks from centre. Bus service close. Nature reserve areas and easy hill walking. Long beach walks. We loved the walk to Los Abrigos, (easy ish 4.5 miles) having a meal and wine and then a taxi back (14 euros) 5 mins drive to TF1 motorway and routes to anywhere on the island. Good local supermarkets and local market on Saturday and Wednesday. Brilliant fish mongers at Los Abrigos 5 minutes by car. Manfreds soul bar our favourite place but lots of choices for food and drinks with coastal views.

El Medano is totally different than the other more common...

El Medano is totally different than the other more common tourist centres further up the coast. Aimed for surfing types, wind/foil/kite and more. Enough nice restaurants and cafes for local food. No late night life but Fri and Saturdays are usually still lively. Beaches pristine and can walk for kms. Have to mention the wind, as it's almost always blowing, but that's what draws the surfers.

As my husband is not very mobile, El Medano is ideal as it is mainly flat and easy to walk. There is a wooden boardwalk along the sea front. Restaurants, shops a large square and a childrens' play area are all within easy reach.

It is super nice apartment, new and fully equipped. Very clean. Very comfortable (we were there 2 with 16 y.o. son) and located 5 min walk from the beautiful beach. Small balcony and air conditioning in place. Very good contact with the owner - before & during the stay. Super easy to get and leave back the keys. There is a parking slot in the underground garage - important as in El Medano is not so easy to park (note - parking place is quite narrow). If we come back to Tenerife - we will come back to this apartment :)

The host was perfect, went out of her way to help us. The location is ok, just 10 minutes from the airport (Tenerife Sud) by car in a residential area with few facilities in the area (car is required). The apartment is new and well equipped. Sandy beach a few hundred meters from the apartment. The area does not have a lot of atmosphere (yet?). not typically Spanish, but other places are close by. Price/quality wise a good deal, specially for a family with two kids.

The reception staff were really helpful and pleasant. The location is superb, you're in the very centre. Within a few meters are great bars and restaurants and the hotel is built on the beach! It's spotlessly clean and the deck with sun loungers is very relaxing. El Medano is a small quiet and unspoilt Spanish town.

Last building in El Medano, going west. There was a boardwalk from the hotel into the centre of the town. Also adjacent to properties offering water sports such as wind surfing etc. All very popular swimming pool at the hotel but there was a beach either side of the hotel, again very popular.
