Super hotel in heart of village but quiet inside. We booked the junior suite which had outdoor solarium. Sofa bed was very comfortable. Helpful friendly staff. We were able to leave car in parking a little longer than check out at no extra cost. We didn’t have breakfast at hotel as there were more economical places in the village

The hotel is beautifully designed with gorgeous rooms, most with balconies and sea views, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast is in the cafe on the ground floor which is very popular with locals and has a great outdoor terrace. Maria who runs Cala Arena, her father, Priscilla in the cafe and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and friendly, you really won't want to leave. And San Jose is a lovely little town with great restaurants - our favourite was La Palmera Mercado, very close to the hotel. And don't forget the stunning beaches - Playa de los Genoveses just south is like Spanish playa's must have been in the 1950's. Also fantastic gym in the basement.

From the Cortijo you can go directly to the village. There are several bars and restaurants, notably Marea, where the food is quite good. They also have a shop that prepares homemade food, which is also quite good.

The village is small but has a couple of very nice, lively bars and restaurants. It's a good place to sleep since there's no beach or anything to visit, but it's close to everything. A good place to stay and explore from.

A quiet village, ideally located for visiting the nearby beaches of Cabo de Gata. It boasts excellent restaurants and is just 4 minutes from San José, a larger town with supermarkets and a long promenade offering a wide variety of leisure and dining options.

More than a village, it's a simple cluster of houses in Cabo...

More than a village, it's a simple cluster of houses in Cabo de Gada National Park. The location isn't bad if you want to visit the various beaches, but there's no life. A car is always needed for getting around. Supermarkets and grocery stores in the area are very expensive; to find decent ones, you'll have to travel at least 15-20 km away. Virtually all of them are closed on Sundays.

It's a quiet village, very well located with restaurants and nightlife options so you don't need to drive. It's close to the Genoveses and Monsul parking areas, and since you have to get up quite early, it's very convenient to be there.
