The staff was super attentive. The room was incredibly clean. They even left a small pet bed and 2 bowls for our dog! The shower was amazing, with great pressure and hot water. The breakfast buffet had lots of cheese, bread, fruit and amazing tortilla. The restaurant was impeccable. The location was stunning.

A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Photos: The Bridge and Town at Besalu, The lake at Banyoles with early snow on the mountains, the 'common room' at La Fustana, and the morning view from there.

The location of the hotel was a bit outside the small town of Avinyonet, Spain in the Girona region. The hotel was surrounded by fields of red poppies and mustard. The hotel is an old farmstead and has character and charm. The meals were amazing.

The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful - the perfect setting for a relaxing break. Jill made us feel very much at home and catered to our every need. Breakfast was a magical feast and the "icing on the cake" was little Paco who is totally adorable!!

Overall good experience, great service and a very secluded getaway if that's what you are looking for. Rooms in the Masia are charateristically quirky but very well done and equipped. Plenty of activities to do from the hotel, bike, hike, kayak and horse riding but equipment could do with an upgrade and options for trails and routes to explore would have been nice to have on paper. Super breakfast served to your table and there's a very good restaurant if you want to eat within walking distance of your room. There's a very nice 'relax room' with very well stocked serve-yourself bar. Overall

A fabulous setting in the heart of the countryside, 15 minutes from Figueres, this beautifully renovated old farmhouse offers peace and quiet, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, and superb bedding. The varied and excellent breakfast is served on the terrace.

The perfect place to disconnect.

The perfect place to disconnect. The service was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The room was beautiful with views of nature. The food, both breakfast and the restaurant, was spectacular. Plus, there are several hiking trails available from the hotel. I would definitely return!
