SPACE: I liked the balcony and that the room was spacious enough. Sometimes rooms are so little that one can’t breath in there, and this one had nice view. I liked the location, and the parking space they have in the front. It was also very quiet, just what I needed in my long journey. 5 mins walking and you find the shops to get what you need. In the winter their restaurant is closed, so think of dinner in the other place or arrive before shops close, (before 9pm )to get some groceries. TEMPERATURE: You can easily regulate temperature in the room, in my case I just switch it off because I like to sleep in cold, and it was possible. PETS: You can travel with your pet, they allow it, but I must say it was very very clean and you won’t find a dust there nor animal hair if someone would be worried about cleanliness. BED: comfortable and not making any noise, mattress decently firm. BREAKFAST: The staff very friendly and very tasty coffee and fresh orange juice in the morning. I personally do not eat bread nor bolleria and this is what you ll find there as a tipical Spanish breakfast. So the non gluten or keto people prepare yourselves.

Brand new bungalow cabins in rural spot, only few kilometres from beautiful lake Sanabria. Staff were friendly, professional and so helpful. You can park straight outside, access was super easy with a code and house was immaculate.

We ate at the restaurant across from the hotel, and it was...

We ate at the restaurant across from the hotel, and it was great. The beach is fantastic, and there's no danger. The Lago de los Peces (Lake of the Fish) is a great excursion. The worst part is getting around Galende; you need a car, and the roads are very narrow and dark. It's best to stay in a hotel in Puebla de Sanabria.

The cabin is very cozy and clean.

The cabin is very cozy and clean. The mattress is good and everything is very new, especially the bathroom. The receptionist was very friendly. It might get hot in the cabin in the summer because there's no air conditioning and no mosquito nets on the windows. But overall, the experience is very good and I recommend it.

Galende is an important spot in the Sanabria region.

Galende is an important spot in the Sanabria region. The village has a small dam where children can swim, and several hiking trails and routes begin there. The entire Sanabria region is a treasure... and Galende is a convenient stop on the way to the lake, making it a must-see, whether for a drink in one of its two bars, a stroll, or even just some accommodation.

The village is a great base for exploring the area and hiking in nearby towns. Distances are short, and the surroundings are absolutely relaxing and well worth a visit.

We found it to be a very peaceful village, with just enough to make our stay very pleasant. It's known for its apple orchards and forests. It's easy to get around, and it's beautiful. What we enjoyed most was walking to Trefacio, a village we also liked quite a lot.

It's a village nestled in an idyllic setting, in the heart of the Sanabria Lake Natural Park, with various routes to explore by car or on foot. A pleasant atmosphere. In San Martín de Castañeda, you'll find several places to eat serving typical Sanabrian cuisine at reasonable prices.
