Lots of things to do and see, museums are great value for money. Lovely food wherever we went. Lovely holiday for a week. The cinema museum was a gem, much more interesting than we expected. Great to go for the Fires Festival

We arrived unbeknownst on the start of the week long festival of fires. We were entertained eveyday with parades (big heads) and castells (human towers). We visited all the Roman ares including the wall and the old Jewish quarter. The cinema museum was fascinating (we spent way longer than we thought here). The Jewish museum was the same. So interesting. I don’t know what Girona is like without the festival but we are glad we were there when it was on. Girona is an easy walking city with steep steps only in the old quarter. We didn’t know the GoT history until we arrived (not watched it). But there are about 10 places GoT fans can visit but they will take about an hour.

Fabulous place to spend a few days.

Fabulous place to spend a few days. The old town has many historic attractions, great restaurants/cafes and very easily walkable. Parking can be an issue so go early to get a park at the free central areas, or park outside the city and take public transport. If you do have a car, go exploring the amazing little villages and towns within a 50km radius. Local people are super-friendly, even when we didn't speak much Catalan/Spanish

It is very hilly with a lot of steep steps to climb. The best part of Girona is the old Town. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Not much to see though would recommend Girona for a long week-end to experience Spain. Not much to see or do in the New Town down by the main river.

Panoramic views from ancient town walls and steep hilltop...

Panoramic views from ancient town walls and steep hilltop locations that overlook the mountains in the distance. Beautiful cobblestoned streets and secret staircases help you wind your way to all of the sights including the Arab Baths, the dramatic Girona Cathedral and Sent Felieu. Plenty of lively cafes to take a coffee or enjoy an aperitif, and generous and welcoming locals. Across the river from old town and larger avenues and shops and local life. Walk up to Sant Daniel to see the views and just enjoy a vigorous workout climbing between sights and then descending again. Lovely town, full of life, cyclers, and university students. Great vibe. September visit, so less crowds than summer.

We were in Girona for an orienteering race and then sadly had to move on. We would love to return for a couple of days to explore properly as the town was so pretty with lots of cobbled alleyways and interesting city walls. We were told by friends that the cathedral is stunning, but did not have time to visit. Next time! We had good eating experiences (lots of al-fresco places to eat on Placa de la Independencia) and were well looked after by everyone we encountered. We really hope to be be back.

The reception staff are excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nicely appointed and there was room to move around. The bathroom facilities were great. Probably the best shower, and the towels were large (not often the case these days). Rooms are air conditioned although we didn't need it. The Hotel is located close to the main square . There are all kinds of restaurants there and reasonable prices. The old town is just across the river. The rooftop bar is lovely but drinks can be pricey.

Great Hotel; large very comfy beds; excellent location - walking distance to all the historic sites/ bars/restaurants etc; stayed for two nights - and it was the best hotel (& cheapest) over our 15 nights in Northern Spain - would defiantly say again. FYI Parking - they have an arrangement with an underground public car park (5 mins from hotel) and it costs 10 euro per day - you need to pay at Hotel reception on check out to get the reduced payment ticket).

The hotel is in an exceptional location, a minute's walk from the cathedral in the old town. The greeting by the passionate owners was very good. My room was very pretty and in keeping with its setting in the old town. It was very quiet, so with a comfy bed I enjoyed a good sleep. It was an excellent place to stay and enjoy the Temps de Flors in Girona.

Absolutely loved 😍, historic building with a quirky vibe. The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Girona's Old Town and the Jewish quarter. The cathedral is a few steps away. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. We needed to catch an early morning flight and had to leave at 3.45, so a taxi was arranged after enquiring at reception.

Great location, very intimate place in the center of the old town. Everything is close to the hotel. I had phone and TV issues, the staff took it into account and managed to offer solutions. Very appreciated.
