This is a lovely village , mostly pedestrian as the roads are too narrow except for the locals! There are great paths from here, we picked easy ones, and just now ,early may,- so many wild flowers. We also had the tapas festival and a band in the square, we may have been the only obvious tourists...a delightful "local" place.

We stumbled upon this village just as preparations were...

We stumbled upon this village just as preparations were underway for the big San Miguel festival and witnessed the local procession. It was authentic and festive. The village is 700 meters from the hotel, but it's best to go by car in the evening, as the return route isn't lit and walking is very dangerous.

The village is small.

The village is small. It's a hotel perfect for working peacefully, relaxing, or exploring the Sierra de las Nieves mountains. We used it to escape the hustle and bustle of the Málaga coast and go down to play golf. While it's only 15 minutes from Marbella, it's well worth the trip for some peace and quiet.

A woman at the entrance to the village sells honey from her son's beehives. This honey is excellent and very reasonably priced. It is certified and laboratory tested. The village is cute, but nothing special. Magnificent views of the sea and mountains... I'm a huge fan of Andalusia.

I stayed there for about week. Beautiful small hotel with special touch ( books, plants etc) The locations is fantastic with beautiful views , near Istan - small rural village ( only 700 m by walk), lots of silence. Sauna available there for a small fee. Room was clean and with nice rustic decor. Staff really nice and attentive.
