Lovely little taverna, spacious room and bathroom both nice and clean. Price (in March at least) was very cheap with food and drink available in the bar downstairs. Beautiful village and surrounding area, I had intended just to stop over for one night in my way back up from Spain into France but stayed an extra night to do a little exploring in the surrounding mountain road and beautiful coast line (I was on a motorcycle tour). Hadn't expected such amazing scenery and wonderful roads. I highly recommend staying here, but be aware that the staff (the ones that I met on my stay anyway) spoke no English at all. This shouldn't be a problem though, the 4G mobile signal is very strong so you can muddle through with Google Translate if you don't speak any Spanish.

I practically never write reviews, but this place truly deserves it! 🙌🏻 It was a real escape from the hustle and bustle of city life—starting with the journey to the hotel. A tiny serpentine road winds into the mountains, passing through a beautiful forest straight out of a fairytale. The views were breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the food excellent, and the atmosphere incredibly romantic—calm and quiet. I slept like a baby. I absolutely loved that breakfast was served in the room—no need to rush in the morning. Just wake up and enjoy the moment with your partner. We stayed for two nights but wished we had booked a bit longer. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, even after we checked out. They managed to secure a reservation for us at a three-star Michelin restaurant—something we thought was impossible!

The village was very pleasant and the people were very friendly. We enjoyed coffee and pastries outside a patisserie and there were a few open as well as a bar in town. We felt safe walking around any most people said hello. 2 supermarkets well stocked and a petrol station on the way to the village.

I love the Basque culture, which is well promoted. We just have to get Hotels and Bars to play only Basque music!! We ate at the Hotel which is very nice and value for your money. Staff were were very friendly.

Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation, this picturesque village seems straight out of a fairytale. The perfectly preserved stone houses are each adorned with balconies overflowing with red flowers that fill the air with their fragrance and color.

A charming little village with a beautiful, typical mountain stone church. The square next to the town hall is lively, where young people play Basque pelota. Cows and sheep can also be seen in the surrounding area, adding to the charm of the place.

Leitza has many things to see.

Leitza has many things to see. If you like the low mountains full of nature and splendor, you are in the right place in the "deep Navarre". There are many Wikiloc routes from which you can learn about places you would never think were there, and it's just a matter of looking for them.

The village is beautiful and very authentic, located on the border between Navarre and the Basque Country, in an area with a strong Basque nationalist sentiment. Most of the houses are traditional Basque farmhouses, with lovely facades. The village has numerous murals and protest graffiti throughout, which are very interesting to see, as is exploring the entire village and its charming narrow streets. I loved it!
