FAQs about hotels in Madrid

The Spanish Soul of Art and Entertainment

Modern Madrid is one of the greenest cities in Europe and the most popular destination in Spain. Whether you want to experience its legendary nightlife or a flamenco show, this is the place to be.

The renowned Museo del Prado holds one of the world’s finest art collections with iconic paintings by El Greco, Velázquez and Goya. For more modern touch, the Museo Reina Sofia houses Picasso’s and Dali’s most respected works.

Start your evening at Puerta del Sol, one of the city’s busiest spots. Make some room in your stomach for great tapas and sangria in La Latina district, south of the city’s most famous plaza, Plaza Mayor.

Real Madrid plays at Santiago Bernabeu and Atlético Madrid competes at Vicente Calderón Stadium, two opportunities that no sports fan will want to miss. The popular Salamanca district is a great place to look for boutique gifts and unique shops.

Thanks to great public transportation system, getting to the city centre from Madrid Barajas International Airport is very easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, budget hostels or comfy apartments, Booking.com has a perfect place for your Madrid holiday.

Madrid is large so consider what you want to do and select your base carefully. There is lots to see and do, especially the galleries, but plan ahead and book admission tickets. Don't visit in summer, go spring or autumn, keep an open mind we found things that we didn't know existed whilst walking around.

I would definitely go back to Madrid.

I would definitely go back to Madrid. My experience here was so nice. There’s no pick pocket, so safe even at night time. People are so nice. Love the foods at plaza mayor and the churros at mc gines. It is easy to go around some places are walkable, taxi every corner or even tuktuk ride.

Wonderful capital with a hotel in the heart of the city.

Wonderful capital with a hotel in the heart of the city. The Hotel Radisson Red in Atocha is a perfect hotel with well-trained and kind staff. It is ideally located, making your stay easy. Everything is around the hotel, museums, bus stops, metro and train stations, restaurants, etc. For anything you need, do not hesitate to ask the reception staff. Mr. Mohamet and Mrs. You thank you once again for your kindness, your support and your recommendations! You make our vacation better. Madrid and the people of this city will make your vacation an unexpected and incredibly good experience.

Madrid is spectacular. Lots of things to do and particularly in the evenings so lively. I visited the Retiro, Gran Via Plaza Mayor, museums photography exhibitions. Only negative thing is that in November it is really crowded.

Madrid is a beautiful city, with probably the best public transportation system in Europe. I love eating where the locals go, and the food is always great and inexpensive. The "menu del dia" with 3 plates, drink and coffee ranges from 12 to 16 euros. Don't miss the many museums, El Prado museum is one of the best in the world. If you stay more than three days, from Madrid you should visit Toledo, Segovia and Avila, all three can be reached via high-speed train, but you must get your tickets online 2-3 days in advance!

Everything was super. Staff at reception desk was nice and polite. If you need hairdryer, some extra higyene products, or something else, just ask. My bedroom and bathrom were small, but in city centre are old buildings, with limited options for upgrade. Just keep in mind that you are in beautiful Madrid, and you will forget size of the room, or noice from the street 😉. For me, position of hotel is the best thing. Considering that I travel alone and had early morning flight, 24/7 reception desk was very important and helpful.

Fabulous 'boutique style' hotel situated in a quiet area of the City, but minutes away, and walking distance, from all of the city centre attractions - a perfect location. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the 4pm to 7pm tapas was an unexpected treat. Will DEFINATELY be returning to this gem of a Hotel.

The location was excellent, offering quick access to the metro compared to other hotels near the airport. Some alternatives required taking a bus, making the journey to the city centre longer. Despite the minor inconveniences, I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I visit Madrid in the future.

The hotel is based very central at Gran Via. A good and various breakfast is offered. But the best part is the rooftop bar and pool, at the city centre but still calm enough to relax during the day - or the night.

The hotel was very close to our meeting location and not too far away from the city centre. The value for money was excellent. This was my second visit and I'll come back again next time I travel to Madrid.
