Perfect location overlooking a lovely beach. The deluxe room was worth the extra cost. It was large and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities which we had not found in any of the other hotels we stayed in for our tour of northern Spain. The balcony and beach view were perfect. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food to choose from. We also had lunch on the terrace and dinner in the cafe/restaurant. Good choice of menu at reasonable prices and even written in English. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking and although expensive it was similar in other hotels.

The apartment was exceptionally clean & spacious, comfy beds and in the centre of the village. Although we didn’t use them as our stay was only overnight & quite rushed, the host left essentials i.e. coffee, milk & a few slices of bread etc which would have been really useful. Communication was excellent. Check in was excellent. Parking was easy. All in all, it couldn’t have been any better.

Mendexa is a small village, perched on a hill surrounded by forests, near Lekeitio. It has Karraspio beach, right next to Lekeitio. I stayed there during a trip to see the Zumaia Flysch. The region and the coast are spectacular. The accommodation at the Zelaigane guesthouse was fantastic. Unbeatable value for money.

Simple accommodation, in line with the price.

Simple accommodation, in line with the price. Clean, friendly host, good breakfast. The location is excellent if you want to use it as a base for exploring; there are no shops or services near the inn. Lekeitio, a pleasant little beach town, is a 10-minute drive away, perfect for dinner overlooking the waterfront and the sea.

Welcoming and helpful couple run this impressive hotel. It’s set in beautiful gardens a short walk from a tiny village which has two restaurants if you don’t want to drive anywhere. Drinks and breakfast available on site were reasonably priced. The view from the room / balcony was exceptional and luckily we had sole use of the pool on the day we used it. With only a few rooms it feels very exclusive. Loads of delightful places nearby to visit. Would definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful small hotel. It is in a tranquil location, very peaceful, with magnificent sea views and a lovely garden. Our room was big and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were very kind, friendly and attentive. We really hope to return one day.

Outstandingly beautiful small hotel with stunning garden and view. Breakfast was great. We had the corner room which decorated in kinda 70s style. Overall the hotel had a certain 70s Bond movie style with a huge lounge with Wassily chairs etc.

We loved the stay at hotel Garazar. The view from the room and the garden is beautiful. The hospitality of the owners is another bonus, and we loved the breakfast with the home made cakes. We can only recommend to stay here.
