This Albergue raises the bar in relation to quality. Where can I begin, I'm speechless after 10 years of walking Caminos there is no comparison. Beautifully renovated, spotless, comfortable. There were no cutting corners. Every pilgrim"s need has been carefully thought out. The welcoming gift was an unexpected delight. The woman is an angel.

We would rate this a 15! We loved it. It is enormous, so spacious. It's 2 minutes walk to the cathedral, very centrally located, with free public parking a very quick walk away. The kitchen was very well equipped, and huge; you would have no problem cooking a real meal there. There was a washing machine and a dryer and a drying rack. There were many windows and lots of light. The bed we slept in was very comfortable, and there was a variety of kinds of pillows, which we really liked. It was a good price for all of the space and facilities. The host was extremely responsive and thoughtful. Check-in instructions were provided in Spanish and in English, and were perfectly clear. It would be a great space for a longer stay, too.

A simple hotel but totally adequate for a stay on the road. Ivan the owner is super friendly. Motorcycle can be parked for free in a large, dry and safe garage. Great stay, thanks Ivan!

A charming little town; our three-day stay felt too short, as we didn't have time to try more bars and restaurants. It's wonderful to be able to stroll through the town after a day's excursion or visit. The people are very friendly.

Mondoñedo is considered one of the most beautiful towns in...

Mondoñedo is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, and it truly is. It has a spectacular cathedral that takes your breath away when you arrive at the main square. The Molinos neighborhood is also very charming. The food is excellent. You can see the town in two days at most, but we stayed longer to explore the surrounding area.

The town is beautiful, so much so that I stayed three nights. I spent two more nights at another place. The bars and restaurants all had excellent service, and the cathedral is beautiful—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a town best explored on foot. It has a lot of charm.

It's a surprise to find a city with history and monuments...

It's a surprise to find a city with history and monuments that's relatively well-preserved for Galicia, where practically all the heritage has been destroyed by urban blight and unchecked development. Moreover, it's situated in a beautiful valley and close to the coast.

Amazing place, well worth spending more time exploring this...

Amazing place, well worth spending more time exploring this "special" town. I would have loved to meet the locals and find out what daily life is like there, but the weather was awful and didn't allow for much conversation.

The village is a complete surprise in the middle of the...

The village is a complete surprise in the middle of the forest. There are monuments to visit, concerts to enjoy, and nature trails to explore. We hiked the charming Water Route. It's also a great starting point for exploring A Mariña Lucense.

The Albergue is very well located - it is very close to the city center, in the near of it is a supermarket and a café. The kitchen and also the common room is huge - cooking was very nice! They also have a little playground for children - I guess when you book a stay in the hotel (not in the albergue) as a family this might be very nice. It was clean and they have modern devices. I also used the washing machine (€4,00).

Amazing setting with beautiful river at the bottom of the garden. Lovely little group of old houses just outside Mondonedo. Great countryside walks with the dogs who were warmly welcomed by the host, Luis, who went out of his way to assist us with various matters.

Great location for me. Very comfortable and modern room. Great bathroom and bed. Facilities also great (I am walking the Camino, and the hotel had washing and drying facilities ). Staff extremely polite and helpful. I was very positively surprised by the hotel.

Spacious comfortable, well furnished, excellent kitchen facilities, nice patio with views. Mondoñedo is a lovely small town off the beaten track with a magnificent 13 cent cathedral. The apartment is just a minute’s walk from the picturesque cathedral square
