Syvia and her companion (I never got her name)were fantastic from start to finish.They would be a credit to any establishment. Food and drink were excellent, Peaceful location on some great roads for motorbikes.

This hotel was a very positive surprise. Do not let the slightly shaky neighbourhood mislead you. The rooms had been renovated recently with good taste and materials. There is also a fridge and microwave. I can only recommend this excellent value for money.

Superb location looking over the coast, a couple of miles inland and high up in the mountains. A peaceful haven of tranquillity with such pure alpine air. Tomas is a delightful host and directed us to some hidden gems along this beautiful stretch of coast. He also helped us to find an English speaking pharmacist, ringing round different pharmacies in the local town until he found one able to help. He really was prepared to go “the extra mile” for his guests. Excellent food and the best sea bass we have had in 40 years of travelling. Very friendly atmosphere amongst guests and staff. We all loved it and hope to return next year.

The family-run Hotel Rico is set in the centre of Luarca, 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and marina. It offers free Wi-Fi, and modern exterior-facing rooms, some with a balcony.

Right over the square & refurbished rooms & bathrooms. Very clean. Lovely staff. A few set options for breakfast (10 euro) though great cafes all around. Supermarket close by the bus station which was a few minutes from the hotel. Family run. Walking distance to beach and port. Excellent Camino stop.

This horse ranch is located in a scenic mountain spot. Friendly dogs are eager to play with guests - when arriving with the car 100 meters away from the hotel we had doubts where to turn, one dog noticed and showed us the way! Lamb chops for dinner were fantastic. Very convenient hours for checkin and checkout.
