I like the attention we received from the owner. He recommended places to visit, where to eat etc Lovely room with all the facilities, clean and comfortable. It was in the village close to Emilio Moro, where we needed to go the following day.

I think it was supposed to be a hostel, if so it was the best hostel I've ever stayed in! We had our own little double room in the eves with a private bathroom next door. Then we had use of a kitchen diner, small lounge and a balcony overlooking the river. It was a a lovely evening so we went for a short walk along the riverbank and over the quirky bridge. There were signposts to some really good riverside walks, but we didn't have time, oh well well just have to come back!

Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Staff was great. Spa was perfect and monastery is gorgeous. The room was confortable with a bathtube and a large shower. It is was absolutely quiet at night and very dark so we could sleep in. The sidewalk by the river and the vineyard is smooth and nice. The bistro "gastrobar" is the best option

Location is perfect. 15min to Emilio Moro and to Penafiel castle. Staff is friendly and helped with everything. Breakfast was pretty good at 8.30-11. Lunch and dinner are available in the restaurant if preorder it at the reception. WiFi available anywhere in the castle. Interior is impressive.

It is a small town with the opportunity to know the locals, every afternoon we visit Bar Tope at the Plaza Mayor to hangout like the local people. Need to have a rental car to move around but is closer to most of the vineyards of the area. Reserve ahead for restaurants around and dont miss the opportunity to visit a castle on Curiel del Duero,

There are very few places to eat since it's a small village.

There are very few places to eat since it's a small village. As far as I can remember, there were only a couple of bars and a small supermarket. You have to travel to nearby towns like Peñafiel or Aranda de Duero, but it's a very pretty village for a stroll along the river, very peaceful, and with very friendly people.

It's a small, very quiet village.

It's a small, very quiet village. It has several bars, which are usually full of locals. El Tope y el Limite has tapas to go with your drinks. You can easily get around on foot; there's a lovely riverside walk.

We visited the Santos Arranz winery and tasted their "Lágrima Negra" wine; a highly recommended visit. The town itself can be explored in a few hours, but its location is excellent for traveling to and visiting nearby towns.

A beautiful village with opportunities to stroll along the Duero River and sample countless wines. We ate at Emilio Toro, a well-maintained and discerning local winery. I would recommend avoiding not checking your room beforehand. In our case, we walked all day and slept terribly in a bed too small for a couple, with an extremely hard mattress. After walking all day, it was impossible to rest at night. Thank you.

It's a very pleasant village, with helpful people and a simple, welcoming atmosphere. Visits to the Lágrima Negra winery and the Camino de la Ermita cheese factory are highly recommended, as are the local bars.
