Its natural surroundings are stunning: there are numerous hiking trails leading to the castle, the moorland, and the salt formations. It's no wonder this land inspired Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente. The village has a wonderful atmosphere, with authentic bars where you can enjoy a glass of wine or patxaran and chat with the locals while playing cards.

What I enjoyed most was returning to my mother's village and reminiscing about my childhood holidays, when there were still only a few of us "summer visitors." Even today (though much more developed), it's ideal for leisurely walks or bike rides through the countryside and mountains. The Casa Martín Hotel and Restaurant is comfortable and inexpensive, with excellent service.

The breakfast was so genorous and good for 4.50 Euros, that I wondered if it is sold with a loss, Even the "coffee Americano" was absolutly superb compaired to Norway were it always tastes like dishwater. Very big and bright room, with easy parking in the street directly in front of the hotel. Good bathtub and shower and everything spotless and clean. Easy good connection to internet. Good bed with two sized pillows. Good value for money.

Great hotel. Simple rooms. Clean and comfortable. Decent bathroom. We had to call them to let us in but he came quickly. Kindly allowed our bikes inside (only room for 2) and leant us a foot pump. It’s a stunning village steeped in history.
