I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very basic, reasonably priced, and in a good location. The building is also painted blue on the outside making it easy to spot from a distance! Although there is no restaurant on site, there are plenty of shops selling food locally, and in the reception area there are coin operated drink machines. There is a terrace on the upper floor with good views where one can watch the ferries coming and going into the port. The director, Domingo, is very helpful and ordered me a taxi on the day I left to take me back the airport.

We only had one full day in Puerto del Rosario but enjoyed exploring the old town which has several places of interest, old church, museum and windmill. The coastal walk to the south of the town has several interesting sculptures as does the town itself. We didn't have time to go swimming but the beach looked very clean and inviting!

Nice, busy, authentically Canarian town. Not a resort. There are ( apart from days when cruise ships come in ) few non-Spanish voices to be heard. A real place, which has little of the artificiality of resorts. As such, it would not appeal to everyone. Great shopping and lots of good restaurants. There is a large shopping mall with good shops in it. A bit hilly, however. The front is interesting and enjoyable to walk along. And everyone is friendly!

Puerto del Rosarios is a capital of Fuerteventura and isn't...

Puerto del Rosarios is a capital of Fuerteventura and isn't a typical touristic place. At 20-00 are almost no people on the street. Not so many restaurants and cafes to eat. If yon need more touristic infrastructure and entertainment you need to go to Corralejo or Caleta de Fusto.

It is quiet and traditional.

It is quiet and traditional. There are some beautiful buildings and a lot of sculptures and murals. It is a bit run-down - a lot of bars and shops near the sea front are closed. It seems to suffer from a lack of tourism because of the popularity of modern resorts on Fuerteventura.

I did a lot of research and the best value for money car...

I did a lot of research and the best value for money car hire, and I used them for a month, was Autoreisen at the airport. I went for a cycling holiday, but not too strenuous, and there are a good few miles of relatively flat tracks along the sea front, either side of and through, puerto del rosario. I was a little unlucky with quite high winds, a bit out of character for February/March. Aldi, Lidl and the large chain Spanish supermarkets available in easy car distance. I don't know why but the locals and visitors are much more friendly on Fuerteventura than they were on Lanzarote when i went there for a month last year.

This is a real town for locals not primarily tourists , there less restaurants than more tourist places and they are dotted about the town. It’s got a port and harbour as well as a small beach and a massive shopping centre . Generally the place looks like it’s undergone some improvements, paving, buildings etc , away from the port area there are new , old and abandoned areas all in various stages but I always felt safe. There doesn’t seem to be much nightlife unless we just didn’t find it, even at weekends. We were lucky to be there for the carnival so that was interesting. It’s ideally located to tour the island as we did in our 2 weeks stay.

Very comfortable, clean and quiet appartment, easy contact with the owner to meet and receive the keys on arrival, warm welcome, extra towels and bedsheets provided to accomodate for longer stay. Always space around the corner to park the car. Two supermarkets and a bakery at walking distance. Neighbourhood doensn't seem too appealing at first, but in fact there are a few good restaurants (La Puipana, El Cangrejo Colorao) and it's a nice and easy walk to the center of Puerto del Rosario along the seafront.

We went to Fuertaventura for birdwatching. We found all the birds on our wishlist within an area of 20 min from the villa😊. After a day of birdwatching we enjoyed cooling of in the pool and the relaxing stay in the lovely villa. Shops of all kind to find in Puerto del Rosario at 15 min drive.Lots of privacy and the kind owner lives right behind in case you need anything.10/10!

Great place, close to the airport. Taxi from the hotel takes 5 minutes and costs €10. The hotel arranges everything for you. The staff is very kind. The restaurant’s working hours are a bit unusual, but the paella was awesome.

We were travelling to Puerto del Rosario only for one night. Our room was located on the patio side - the view wasn't great but therefore not noisy! Bathroom was clean and tidy and the personal was super friendly and helpful.
