The apartment is very clean with comfortable beds and well equipped. I particularly liked the roof terrace, we spent several evenings relaxing,watching the sun go down. I couldn't ask for a better location,so close to the centre and short walks to shops . The host is helpful and responsive .

Comfortable bed in the sunshine room (room 2) ceiling fan, all new windows with persianas, the sun terrace (sun trap) & kitchen (which even had some cold drinks, coffee, tea, water & milk) made for a very calm & relaxing stay with everything I needed. We had an amazing experience staying in this place. What sets this place apart is not just the accommodations themselves, but the beautiful surroundings on the edge of the Sierras Subbéticas. We stayed in a beautiful old "cortijo" that was situated amidst a vast expanse of olive groves. One of the highlights was a stunning pool that provided breathtaking views. Furthermore, there are two outdoor dining areas where you can enjoy your own meal or savor the delectable dishes prepared by Cathryn - La Directora de Cortija La Presa. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway away from busy tourist cities, this destination is the perfect place for you. Initially, we intended to use this location as a starting point to explore Cordoba and Granada. However, we were pleasantly surprised by its charm and decided to stay here instead. We spent our time exploring the nearby small towns. We would love to come back here when it's less hot and finally explore Cordoba and Granada.... Regarding practical matters, our apartment, which was designed for four people, was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning functioned efficiently and quietly, but we hardly needed to use it. During the night, we could open the windows and indulge in the fresh air outside. Moreover, the apartment was immaculately clean.

    It was a good base for exploring many of the local walking trails. We also drove to Cordoba which was interesting. Our visit to Rute in early December was at a time when many restaurants were shut. The Sugar Museum was worth a visit.

    Attractive Spanish townhouses when viewed from street level. Difficult to walk around the narrow, steeply sloping streets with very narrow pavements which can be hazardous when wet (especially if you are elderly). Basic standards for cafes and restaurants. Limited provisions for supermarkets. English speaking virtually non-existent.

    Fine central location. Prompt excellent management for check-in. Secure property, modern interior, well organised and clean. Kitchen with breakfast area and all necessary electric cooking and dish washing appliances. Good separate lounge and dining room. Spacious bedroom with excellent large double bed with firm matress that ensured a good night's sleep. Ample clothes and luggage storage space. Can be fully recommended for small to large families as comfortable base to explore Rute and surroundings with ease.

    Perfect apartment for a few days away in Rute, super clean and has everything you need. We have stayed twice now . Hosts are really communicative and will help with any extra needs you have very quickly so highly recommend. Nice views from balcony and nice and warm in winter .
