We booked this at the last minute, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The city is magnificent, and the hotel, nestled within the city walls, is truly beautiful. The reception area is impressive, and the rooms are very nice, exuding a traditional and rustic charm. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. When we had a big puncture in our car, they promptly assisted us in finding a garage to get a new tyre. We also turned up for breakfast without a reservation, and it was no problem. While breakfast might not be the Ritz, for €6 per person, it is certainly a bargain. I should have taken pictures before starting to unpack.

This hotel lies 20 metres from the Puerta de la Santa, a historic entrance into Ávila. It offers free Wi-Fi and great views over the Amblés Valley, city walls and Gredos Mountains.

This is a gem of a hotel in the old heart of the city, yet pleasantly quiet. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Secure bike storage was made available to me. I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
