Beautiful setting and the tent was amazing - so luxurious. The pool was great too. Woke to a sunrise view from our bed which topped it all off. Really lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. An added bonus was the tasty breakfast delivered to our terrace in the morning. A truly wonderful stay.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. I stopped here for a few days to rest on a bike trip, and I hope to return with my wife for a romantic weekend in the future. The rooms are huge, spacious, and perfectly designed. The beds are comfortable and breakfast was fantastic as well.

The location was good. Booking in was easy. The bed was comfy and big. Two singles lashed together. The shower was great and the aircon worked. Downstairs was an adjoining buffet. Good food and reasonable prices. Tip ; If booking Saturday night do it well in advance as the French descend like an invading army and book it up for the buffet, shopping and probably the bingo!!

This little flat is very cosy and well equipped. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our time there and those host is very nice. It's ideally located near a nice river with restaurants nearby, close to Figueres which you can reach in ten minutes

A beautiful spot for hiking. The staff is very friendly, the food is good, and you feel right at home. The restaurant just before the trailhead is very nice, with delicious food and a great wine list.

The swimming pool isn't at the hotel but at the campsite...

The swimming pool isn't at the hotel but at the campsite next door. Even though it's right next door, the staff aren't aware of it. Furthermore, the person at the restaurant who practically jumps on you to serve dinner tells you that a cappuccino doesn't exist in Spain!

Terradas, as well as other charming villages accessible via...

Terradas, as well as other charming villages accessible via the GI-510/511 road, are relatively unknown, as far as I could tell. They are all worth visiting, sampling the local cuisine, and chatting with the residents. Fantastic landscapes, mountain biking trails, hiking routes, and other activities await.

It's such a charming hotel with lovely friendly and helpful staff. Whoever designed and furnished the hotel has a wonderful eye for detail and the same can be said for the meals which were a delight. Good food, well cooked and beautifully presented. We also loved the village of Terrades which we have driven past on many occasions. Lovely old streets full of interesting houses, pots of plants and it is so very, very cared for and clean.

What a beautiful hidden gem in a lovely, quiet little village. The staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, the breakfast especially. The room and four-poster bed are comfortable and traditional. This is our first time here, but we will be returning. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel. In addition, a real bonus was private parking directly behind the hotel.

The Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The Hotel generally is superb, yet small ( boutique ), and attention to details extremely well thought through. Rooms were spacious and thought had been put into the design and furnishings. The staff were informative and engaging and the food was excellent. We will definitely stay at la Fornal again !!!

Great hotel with character, situated in a pretty village. A nice change from the chain type places. We had a lovely big comfortable room which was spotlessly clean. The owners were really friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

Breakfast was excellent. But the dinner was really really good, out of this world. The details in every single corner of the hotel were amazing, good taste everywhere. Such a good taste in every single detail is outstanding.
