Brand new bungalow cabins in rural spot, only few kilometres from beautiful lake Sanabria. Staff were friendly, professional and so helpful. You can park straight outside, access was super easy with a code and house was immaculate.

Although not a modern hotel Tierra de Lobos had everything we needed for our stay. We were greeted by host Victoria who was extremely helpful. Breakfast was simple but adequate, the fresh orange juice was lovely. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the beautiful river. A steep walk up into the town was well worth it as the old town is amazing.

Beautiful modern apartment. Excellent facilities. Cooked our first meal in a while and everything worked, great equipment. Washed and dried all our clothes. Fabulous bathroom. Parked our motorbike on the driveway.

The village itself has nothing, but three or four kilometers...

The village itself has nothing, but three or four kilometers away there's a small town called Puente de Sanabria which has all the amenities, bars, and other services. It's near the famous and beautiful town of Puebla de Sanabria, considered one of the most beautiful in Spain, and its equally famous Lake Sanabria.

I think it's a great place to stay if you're looking for...

I think it's a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet. It's well located, 12 minutes from the lake and from Puebla and Puente de Sanabria. And about 30 minutes (always by car) from the Laguna de los Peces trail and the Sotillo waterfall. Plus, the river beach with the Cedeira beach bar is just 10 minutes away. If you're traveling by car, it's an ideal place to stay in the area.

Very peaceful rural area.

Very peaceful rural area. Close to the Sanabria side, where there are beautiful hiking trails. Spectacular scenery. Good food; in Puente de Sanabria, try Casa Maribona and La Chopera. In Ribadelago, try El Majo. Excellent meats and delicious cod.

Trefacio is a small, peaceful village in the Sanabria Lake...

Trefacio is a small, peaceful village in the Sanabria Lake Natural Park, just a few kilometers from the lake and Puebla. It's easy to get around the area if you have a car. In Puente, 4 km away, there are highly recommended restaurants serving traditional cuisine.
