We were arriving at a Saturday with heavy rain. The host warned us by text not to take the route over Granada as there might have been snow and ice on the mountain roads, which made us travel over Orgiva. At the location, the host's sun was a great help in carrying your luggage and explaining the place. It is a charming local house and we stayed in a lovely room. As we were with few visitors we almost had the house for ourselves. Most important treasures; the dinner cooked by the lovely local cook, the stunning views over Sierra Nevada and a great day with our friends who live one village away.

Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of...

Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of a large mountain. It has far reaching views and you can even see the sea on a clear day. There are almond farms all around and the blossom was beautiful in January. It feels rather like stepping back in time and is well worth a visit. Most places were shut while we were there as we arrived late on Sunday afternoon and left on Tuesday morning but I'm sure there are nice places to eat and drink at busier times. There are many footpaths in the area and it would be a great place to use as a base for hiking.

It's a magical place.

It's a magical place. If you're looking for peace and quiet, it's the perfect spot. The villagers are very friendly. All the details related to the Book Village are beautiful and charming. There are three bars, and they're all very good. The food is delicious and the portions are generous.

I liked everything overall; I have nothing negative to say about the establishment. The owner goes out of her way to help you at all times. Very helpful and friendly, everything was great, and the food was amazing!
