What a fantastic hotel. We loved the quirkiness of it, the attention to detail, the situation right in the village, the garden and Laura and José Ángel were amazing hosts. This is probably the best hotel we have stayed in in Rioja for years. We had a lunch in the garden which was amazing and breakfasts are so fresh and filling. There are a couple of great vineyards close by, Tobia and Taron, hence the reason for our visit to the village.

We love staying in Arrope. The hotel is lovely and the staff are great. We had a splendid dinner in the restaurant on both nights and travelled to the Plaza to buy wine and met a very nice guy who was good friends with our receptionist.

Excellent facilities - modern hotel - a bit out of town. Bed was comfy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night while on a road trip and had a light snack for dinner plus breakfast . Very good value. We are a mature couple and are travelling by car so the distance from "town" was not an issue. Would be a great base for a couple of days if exploring La Rioja by car or even bicycle.

Very quiet village, but hotel superb and quiet on our visit resulting in excellent service by the staff. Ate in hotel restaurant on 2 nights. Went elsewhere on Tuesday night as hotel restaurant is closed on Tuesday.

Quietness, church bells, the views, the warm and welcoming...

Quietness, church bells, the views, the warm and welcoming clientele of the local bar, Zarratón is only 10 minutes from Haro by car where there is much to see, great food, many bodegas to visit, the surrounding area is beautiful and finally it is no distance to use the Hotel in the village as your base to visit many places of historical interest and the bigger towns like Logrono. Should you wish to use the motorway it’s near enough on your doorstep BUT use the N and smaller roads as you miss so many beautiful sites, towns and scenery on the major roads. Near enough flat for cycling and walking. Numerous beautiful monasteries too in the area.

We found this hotel last year for an overnight stopover before catching ferry from Bilbao. We had the place to ourselves but was treated so well. We had a wonderful dinner there and in the morning went on our way after being served with a lovely breakfast. We will continue to use this hotel when travelling back from our villa. The Reoja wines are great too!
