The hotel surprised me as it is listed at a 2-star hotel but in fact felt rather high end. There is an art theme across the rooms and common areas, which is very stylish. The personnel were really kind - at the reception and the breakfast. The breakfast is not super abundant but is sufficient and adequate. Anything more would have been a high risk of food waste. The location is excellent to go for a walk to the flysch and the geopark. Also close to the local pintxo bars/tavernas. Our room had a terrace with a view towards the sea, the lavish green hills and the flysch. I loved sitting there. A kettle with some tea in the room could have been a nice addition. But there was a fridge supplied with some water and beer, which was lovely for the sunny hours.

My wife and I visited the area for Carnival. Had a great time and the location of the hotel made it easy to explore by car. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. Beds were fantastic, with large rooms and nice bathrooms. Our room had a great walkout balcony and breakfast was delicious with lot of options and variety (recommend the tortilla). Very friendly staff.

The town is welcoming and beautiful, and you shouldn't miss the theatrical tour of Lili's Palace or the replica of the cave. The food at "El Portal" tavern is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. The cheesecake is spectacular!

I like the spa resort and we've been a couple of times and...

I like the spa resort and we've been a couple of times and will definitely go back. The only thing I wanted to mention is that we go with our dog, and I think what they charge for him is a bit expensive. It would be nice if they provided him with a bed and a treat as a little extra. He's another guest, and a small gesture for him would be much appreciated. Other hotels do this too. Thank you.

Unbearable musty smell throughout the entire establishment; dilapidated, poorly maintained building in a bad, isolated location; low-quality breakfast; absolutely unwelcoming staff; no soundproofing; conversations from neighboring rooms can be heard; very high price, absolutely unjustified. It's located in the heart of the Basque Country, and that's...

It's located in the heart of the Basque Country, and that's a wonderful place to experience. There are beautiful hiking trails nearby, surrounded by nature. We wished we could have stayed longer. The village, with its variety of restaurants, is just a short walk from the spa. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

It seemed like a town you just pass through, with the road...

It seemed like a town you just pass through, with the road running right through it, but we kept finding different corners and beautiful landscapes near the river. It was quite a discovery, it's a shame the rain didn't allow us to explore other nearby routes, but the town deserves a return visit next summer, especially with a pelota court in the middle of town open to anyone who wants to play.

Charming rural hotel in the mountains, what a beautiful setting a short walk from the village. Rustic decor and very comfortable Excellent breakfast the best croissants ever and dinner very heavy on the meat huge portions but great value The hosts are so kind and helpful as hopeless Spanish speakers we communicated by phone and even learnt a few words in Basque We would definitely stay here again lost of places to visit nearby

Wonderful art deco hotel,getting a little tired but for the price it was a great place to stay. The food in the restaurant and bar area was excellent value for money and well executed. The spa was really good and invigorating. The architecture was fantastic if you like Art Deco ,beautiful corridors. All in all a very pleasant stay

This is a great old hotel. Large room was warm and welcoming. The restaurant gave us a fabulous 3 course meal for a reasonable price. We spent an hour in the spa. Staff were very helpful. Lovely location by the river. We drove here after a day in Bilbao and stayed for one night as we were heading to France.
