I love this place - it was not the first time I stayed there and I'll definitely come back again. This time we were traveling by car from Madrid to Porto and stayed in Hacienda Zorita, which is somehow in the middle, for a night. We stayed in the main building and it was perfect - over the water, very peaceful. The 1st floor has a lovely lounge area with the fireplace. The breakfast is amazing - with the freshest local food.

Everything about the hotel was very good, from reception staff to quality of breakfast. Onsite parking was worth the 12 euros for peace of mind of my loaded car being secure. The location was ideal for access to the old town historic attractions.

This was a one night stop on my way home to the UK. The position is great just a short way into town. Right opposite is a large Carrefour just right fit those last minute buys. The hotel is great, staff, rooms and food. Cleanliness is spot on. I like the hotel as its just about 4 hours from Santander so good for a late departure or an afternoon arrival. I will definitely use this again!

We had a junior suite. Worth every penny. Large room, big and comfortable bed, sofa, 2 chairs, table, good bathroom with a clever design. Dog friendly if you stick to the atrium restaurant for dinner and breakfast which we did. Both were excellent and they even provided gluten-free bread with our Express breakfast (coffee, orange juice and tostada).

Superb all round. Castellanos de Villiquera is a quirky little town, and in the midst of it is this gem hosted by Martin. Everything on offer was first class, and the Christmas dinner he prepared was worthy of a top restaurant. A wonderful way for my wife, and our dog, to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.
