It was a great time at Hayes Hotel. We travel to Addis since more than 13 years and already know the general kindness and hospitality of the Ethiopian people and staff in other hotels. It was very clean. They have warm water and very good water pressure. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful too, which meant a lot to me as navigating the city was rather difficult in the beginning. I stayed for an entire month and I was very happy with both the service and the amenities. There's a tiny park nearby (Shala park, maybe 15 mins walking) which is a nice place to eat and drink on the weekends. I haven't had issues around the area when walking, there are plenty of shops and restaurants around too so you can get whatever you need. Admittedly, I haven't been out walking at night at all so no experience on how that might work out.

Staff couldn’t be more accommodating, airport pickups were a welcome addition. Large clean rooms snd a decent breakfast, central location with plenty of traditional dining options within walking distance.
