Pitfall - owner doesn't answer the phone / no bed sheets / pillows and blankets are dirty - floors are dirty, no internet, shops are very far away, floors and doors creak, kitchen sponges and cloths are dirty. Not suitable for families, maybe suitable for hunters or fishermen who don't care about cleanliness.

The S-Market in the center of Heinola, on the edge of...

The S-Market in the center of Heinola, on the edge of Heinola Market Square, was surprisingly good. Heinola Lintuhoitola is now a beautiful, new semi-circular winter house with outdoor courtyards, and there is an IT art exhibition in the adjacent Dorki Park. Heinola Siltasaari café is definitely worth a visit, as is Heinola Heila and its shop.

Heinola is a small cozy town, lots of lights and candles, the park is cozy, lots of services for a small town. We definitely want to come again in the summer. Bird sanctuary, dog show, fox & chicken, flea market on Kirkkokatu, beach park and the largest tree in Finland

Getting the keys was really convenient. The apartment was clean and even (partially) renovated. Sauna was small-ish but fits two nicely. Neighborhood seemed to be rather silent. Location was handy for a traveller with Electric car, the ABC charger station is close by as well as Heinolan Heila - which really is worth a visit!

-Very comfortable and cozy place to stay -The flat has everything you need -Excellent location -Comfortable bed -Communication with Mari was very easy and the instructions to get into the flat were very helpful I will definitely come back whenever again in Heinola!

A somewhat standard spa hotel right on the waterfront, but standard in a good way. I didn't use the spa, so can't comment on that. Friendly personnel, modern clean room with a balcony viewing the waterfront, peaceful surroundings, good breakfast, parking. All well!
