Nurmes, the hometown of my childhood, which unfortunately...

Nurmes, the hometown of my childhood, which unfortunately has become very quiet. Now that I'm visiting, the natural beauty, cleanliness and peace made a big impression and I hope that these things will be appreciated and that we can utilize them while respecting nature so that tourism can become an industry that boosts the region. Nature and the nice people of North Karelia are unique.

The picture on the booking page did not match the room at...

The picture on the booking page did not match the room at all. The accommodation was in a villa and it is a small cabin, although it was ok for our purposes, but the picture was probably of a hotel room with a lake view, so the picture and the room did not match and when booking it is good to see what kind of room it is. This is a very big minus for booking.

Hyvärilä is a good alternative for accommodation, which is quieter than, for example, Bomba. That is, if you don't need the hustle and bustle of other people. There is plenty of space and the setting is great for outdoor activities. Clean and nice place. The staff is top notch! We rented snowmobiles and the renter was nice and flexible. The food in the favorite restaurant was good.

Beautiful nature all around.

Beautiful nature all around. The SPA pool was really nice, as you could also go out into the pools. We tested all the saunas several times. The jacuzzis were really nice too. It was easy to get around Nurmes, with a couple of main streets and a large market square in the middle.

The hotel is in a lovely location. We stayed in the houses away from the hotel. Dining options is pizza hell or a set menu of 4 courses, at a rather high price. The rooms in the huts contained not one spoon, knife or fork. Not a single glass even in the bathroom but four shabby paper plastic cups. The level of rooms were not acceptable considering the price and the facilities. I would not recommend this facility.

Unfortunately, I booked a room inside the hotel itself. When I went, they gave me a wooden hut outside the hotel, which felt like a prison to me. It was not good at all. The TV could not connect to the internet or YouTube. I tried everything, but three days passed without internet or TV.
