The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always attentive and ready to help with a smile. Location was fantastic, close to main attractions yet in a peaceful area. great resort and facilities! we used the sauna and the outdoor jacuzzi continuously. The idea of a jacuzzi with a view of the forest outside was wonderful! The dinner was of very high quality. We were also impressed by their quick response when they saw that the trail to the jacuzzi and entrance was slightly icy. They immediately took care of it by laying small pebbles along the way.

Great place to stay and explore Lapland by bus if needed as it's a central point of access. Easy to travel to Ranua zoo, Santa's Park or Village and other places. If you have kids it's easy to just "live" as the city offers pretty much everything. The 2 museums Arktikum and Pilke are great even for adults. Plenty of food options from different areas of the world. Enough shopping options at least at the centrall mall. You can easily walk around and access nature.

Rovaniemi was nice to visit. Nice restaurants pubs etc. Shopping centres. Pricey but there you go. The Bull bar is good as it allows children and the food was good. The guys in the bar could not do enough for you.

Rovaniemi city is a modern, functionally built area...

Rovaniemi city is a modern, functionally built area surrounded by beautiful views and areas. It has a completely different feel from Summer to Winter, which I would say I prefered. Great tourist information to help you plan if you're already there, nice restaurants too. Rovaniemi Airport is about 5 miles away from the city centre. Buses and taxis are widely available. Santa Claus Village is about 4 miles away from the centre too.

I wish there were public shared bikes to go around the city.

I wish there were public shared bikes to go around the city. the buses aren't so convenient so I mostly walked. It's not a big city. Overall I liked it. I liked the area behind the Arktikum museum, by the lake where is also a place to site the Northern lights, if the weather allows it. You should definitely, visit a reindeer farm.

Have you ever been on an airplane where the whole flight CHEERS upon landing? Not from a terrifying flight where everyone is happy to land but out of sheer JOY and excitement. Welcome to the North Pole. I traveled solo and adored everything about Rovaniemi, the surrounding area and it's people and I'm making plans to return again with my children. I felt safe traveling as a single woman and found the residents of the little city to be kind and helpful. I flew in and then took the night sleeper train to Helsinki to fly home. That experience was also super fun. I felt like a child boarding the Christmas Express (remember that book?)

The town was very easy to get around and had plenty of options for activities. This trip was focused on the Santa themed activities, but I want to go back and spend more time in the nature areas. We made it to a few but only for short visits. I think I could spend hours walking and enjoying the natural surroundings there.

This was a very new home apartment. Everything was working and the apartment was very clean. The apartment stayed very warm inside even though it was -32 C outside in February. No loud noises or anything weird or disturbing going on in the neighbourhood. The shower hot water was perfect and the washing machine and the dishwasher were very good. Very good value for money and a cheaper alternative for very expensive Rovaniemi hotels.The staff was super super nice, kind and helpful.

It is a really great place to stay near Rovaniemi. We spent 4 nights here and had a great time. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was great. One night we had dinner at their restaurant and the food was tasty. The best thing in this hotel that you can see the Northern Lights from here! We were really lucky and saw the lights 3 out of 4 nights and it was amazing!

The hotel gives me a free room upgrade that exceeded my expectations. The room was super clean and equipped with kettle, ironing board, coffee and tea bags. Location of the hotel is at center of the Rovaniemi downtown and within 3 min walking to nearest bus station to Santa Clause village. Breakfast was delicious and have many options for vegetarian.
