Everything was amazing! The location, the hospitality, food, fire, wine, atmosphere….VIRGINIE is the most incredible host and the other VIRGINIE is equally as amazing! We felt like family….which made it hard to leave even after only 5 days! We will absolutely, certainly be back! Auberge de La Foret made our family holiday one of the best yet. A lovely hotel with mountain views & full of period features, renovated to a very high standard with a very comfortable & relaxing bar & lounge. Well located on the edge of town ,close to the main bus station giving good links to all surrounding areas. There is even a free shuttle bus running each way between the ski resorts of les deux alpes & Alp du huez. Friendly & helpfull staff giving all the imformation needed to help you make the most of the local area. Food in the restaurant is very nice, again in a grand & spacious room & there is plenty of choice available for breakfast. I will certainly return when possible & would recommend for a short or longer stay in this area.

Allemont is located not far from Huez and Les Deux Alpes (approximately 30 minutes by car). The village has a tobacconist, a pharmacy, a medical center, a bakery, and restaurants. Ski rentals are available. The Eau d'Olle ski lift provides quick access to the Oz-Vaujany ski resort and then to the other resorts in the Huez ski area.

A friendly town with a reasonably priced gas station, essential shops nearby, and a lovely stream running through it. Located very close to, about twenty minutes south of, the ski resorts of Oz-en-Oisans and Alpe d'Huez. Excellent place to stay, I highly recommend it.

Small, sunny alpine village. Very quiet.

Small, sunny alpine village. Very quiet. The village is at 730 meters, so it's in the valley. There are few shops. Its main advantage is its direct connection to the Alpe d'Huez ski area via a fast and comfortable cable car with free parking and the option to rent ski and boot lockers in the cable car station building.

Nice little refurbished hotel, owned by a nice Dutch couple. We stayed there during a cycling holiday, there is a shed (locked at night) for our bikes with tools, pumps, repairstand. Staff is really friendly and helpful😊 The hotel is neat and clean, and is placed in the center of Allemond. The breakfast buffet is not overwhelming, but it has what is needed, and dinner at night was good as well. So in all, a recommendable hotel with a good location. 😊

We stayed here for 2 nights, with the intention of tackling Alpe D’Huez on the bikes. It’s a perfect distance to do in a day. It’s also really nice to be surrounded by other cyclists in the hotel that you can chat to. The pool is a nice bonus on a hot day! Breakfast was simple but exactly what we needed to refuel energy. We were very happy with our stay

Allemont is a fabulous place and to wake up to mountains all around on the cycle ride to the boulangerie in the morning was very uplifting. Plenty of places to eat as well as a SPAR and a chemist. The apartment is self-catering and is well-equipped though not exactly modern.
