My wife and I stayed in this apartment for two weeks and used it as a base for cycling in the area. The apartment is in a great location in the centre of town, with plenty of options for cafes, charcuteries and boulangeries close by. It is spacious, well appointed and very tidy. We loved sitting out on the balcony for meals or a wine and watching the world go by in the square below - especially on Tuesday market days. Marie-Esther could not have been a better host. All our communications with her were very friendly and she was quick to respond to our questions. She offered up a separate storage area for our bikes, which was great as the room opened straight onto the street - so no stairs to be climbed. Thank you Marie-Esther. We hope to return!

Great Gîte 10 min walk to the centre of Argeles -Gazost. Modern, well equipped Gite with full kitchen where we cooked great meals from produce gathered from the town. Very central to visit and hike at Gavarnie and Cauterers. Jean Claude provided warm welcome and introduction to the Gite. Very clean and comfortable. Even had BBQ though didn’t get chance to use!!

Argeles-Gazost is a good size town with a range of restaurants and shops plus a big market on Tuesdays (food & other goods). Away from the old town there are supermarkets and other shops. Our favourite place to eat dinner was Cafe-Hotel Les Fleurs. The local bakeries were all good but Patisserie Vignau Jean had the most impressive choice of cakes and tarts. Another find was the microbrewery "La brasserie du pays des gaves" who offer charcuterie boards alongside a range of beers. We made use of the local busses to access walks near Gavernie (seasonal service) and Cauterets for Lac de Gaube & Pont d'Espagna. On a future visit would love to explore the valley by bike along the greenway.

Pleasant town. Easy access on foot from the hotel. Enjoyed a nice meal in a pleasant square just a minute from my hotel. There is easy access by road to all the fabulous nearby scenery in the mountains. Fabulous area.

Very clean private bathroom small rooms but sufficient. Close to lots of walking. Brilliant chef evening meals were very very good! Towels not so big we do prefer and nice big bath sheet but really that is a minor point

The town is very well located near beautiful sites to visit (Lake Estaing, Pont d'Espagne), in Argelès you have a beautiful market with local products, the Pyrenees animal park, and many shops.

A charming village at the foot of the mountain passes,...

A charming village at the foot of the mountain passes, perfect for cyclists and hikers. We were close to the town center and could easily get there without a car. The spa town is very pleasant for relaxing. We recommend the restaurant La Table d'Ayzi, which offers generous and delicious dishes made with local products. And above all, our rental was excellent. We highly recommend it.

Have been to Argeles-Gazost many times, a great place for a road cycling holiday with many Tour de France climbs in close proximity. My first time staying at this hotel. All good about my stay, restaurant was great, good food and reasonably priced. Breakfast also good. I'd really like there to be a fridge in the room. Wifi was best in the lounge area but quite slow / sketchy in my room on 2nd floor. Love the view from my bedroom window over Hautacam, great for seeing the sunrise.

A beautiful home in the most glorious of locations. We really did not want for anything. The hosts / owners are a real delight and nothing was too much trouble. They went to great extremes to help us and provide outstanding service. The location is just perfect in terms of natural beauty and being able to access all places of interest. Argeles-Gazost is a special place with history, character and. culture. The market there has been going since 1292!

Great check in with very friendly staff. Able to securely store bicycles for us. Hotel is set on a town square so you can sit at a bar table and watch the world go by. Rooms were spacious with ensuite facilities and great showers. Excellent breakfast with local cheese and ham. Town centre location means you can wander round the town from the hotel.
