Barr is an idyllic quiet town surrounded by gorgeous vineyards. It is very walkable and has regular trains passing through. Everyone was very friendly and even though I didn’t speak French, I got around with gestures and smiles. Very close to the town-centre and a convenient distance from the train-station. Some excellent restaurants just a few footsteps away. Guests can make use of a beautiful garden/terrace (weather permitting) and they can have tea in the drawing room. It spoke for itself that there were quite a number of guests happily nursing their tea while reading their books or chatting with other guests. The apartment has 2 double beds: one separate room and another behind a curtain, which we found pretty cozy, despite the lack of privacy. Barr is a charming town on the wine route between Obernai and Sélestat. We really loved it. The apartment is situated in the very center of it, on a quiet street.
