The property is beautiful!!! The breakfast was really really good. My room originally was already pretty good with a nice view to the garden but there was kind of a smell when I got into the room. The staff was with me and promptly switched me to a different room. They also offered me a glass of wine while they re-arrange the new room. This was a huge customer service! Really impressed

Bléré is a small town; you can see everything there relatively quickly, but from here you can easily reach all the highlights of the region. The Cher River is a gentle river, perfect for boating.

A charming little town with excellent shops in the town...

A charming little town with excellent shops in the town center, a special mention for the cheese shop! A lovely walk along the Cher River, a peaceful little town far from the hustle and bustle of tourist sites. Conveniently located near Chenonceau and Amboise, we went there to go hot air ballooning.

We loved the location; we had a hot air balloon flight...

We loved the location; we had a hot air balloon flight planned, and the gîte was 15 minutes from the launch site. We were close to Amboise, Chenonceau, and the Chaumont-sur-Loire estate. We visited the Montmousseau cellars and loved them.

A pretty little town.

A pretty little town. We stayed there several times as a stopover, and enjoyed several good restaurants, including "Le Tableau" and "Mille et Une Saveurs".

A pretty little village with human-scale houses.

A pretty little village with human-scale houses. Few apartment buildings. Restaurants, services, bakeries, a butcher/delicatessen... everything you need for a comfortable stay. Must-tries: the restaurant AU TABLEAU, the bakery on the road leading to the Cher River, and the butcher/delicatessen opposite the church. The rillons (pork belly confit) are excellent.

It was a lovely little cottage, in a peaceful setting, with an outdoor dining area and a BBQ we could use. The hosts owned a basketball court which they were kind enough to let the children use. There is nearby free parking. There's a well-equipped kitchen, including dishwasher and washing machine. Bléré has a small riverside beach, and it was central enough to the Loire region to reach most places within 30mins or so. You do need your own car/means of transport.

From start to finish we had an excellent stay at Maison Leonard. The welcome, facilities, cleanliness, food, attention and local knowledge were all excellent. Fabrice and Thierry could not have done more to make us welcome and enable an excellent stay, and Blere is very quiet but well situated for visits to all attractions in the Loire valley, being a 10 minute drive from Amboise. Thoroughly recommended, and if we can we will be back.

In a quiet road in the middle of Blere. Strategic for visiting Blere and surroundings. Free parking is in the road or just at the beginning of the road there is a big free parking. The apartment is cozy, clean, modern. The host was really helpful and gentle and really fast
