Location close to the church where there was ample parking, very central. The apartment is very comfortable, eclectic and stylish. Well kitted out kitchen, bean to cup! The major plus was the pellet fire, roaring away for our (Feb) arrival. Would definitely recommend.

very very friendly host! spoke English well. went out of his way to make us comfortable. even went with us to the garage cause our car had problems. gave us a breakfast although we had not booked that but trusted us that we would pay to his bank. beautiful cozy very clean appartement with jacuzzi and lot of attentive extras.

The Sunday food market was small but had a super selection of meats and shellfish. The local oysters are a dream and the rotisserie roast chicken stall also did their own cured pork specialities. Amazing.

We stayed in the apartment in the back of the property with...

We stayed in the apartment in the back of the property with a tub. It was very private and we really enjoyed having the whole back garden to ourselves. There was a little outdoor kitchen that served our needs, but may seem a little like camping if your not one for the outdoors. There are plenty of other accommodations at the property, you just need to be specific about what your needs are. Since we stayed a week we did use a local laundry since there was not a washing machine in our apartment.

The location is great for relaxing.

The location is great for relaxing. The location and surroundings are great. Phillip, the owner takes good care of his guests and gives that extra, like good advice where the good restaurants are or extra pillows by the pool. We suggest a breakfast on departure at Phillip's, so the return journey can start with relaxed pace. All in all a top location. Highly recommended. A trip to Bordeaux is highly recommended, lunch at Le 1544 on Pl. de la Bourse is super. Go along Boulangerie "Au Pétrin Moissagais this bakes the most delicious croissants since the year 1765, or enjoy the countryside with a trip through the vineyards with delicious wine tasting in the Médoc + sights and wine villages. Ask Phillip for advice.

I only stayed a few hours, but it was enough to realize that it's a beautiful village, with good access, and relatively close to Bordeaux and the vineyards. A great place to stay and have time to explore the surrounding towns.

A small village on the right bank of the Dordogne River,...

A small village on the right bank of the Dordogne River, where it meets the Garonne. The view from the port is spectacular, the food at Les 4 Bagneurs is excellent, and in the village is Frédéric Blandiel's pastry shop, which makes fantastic fig chocolates. The views of the river from the village are indescribable.

Please note: there was an initial error; it's not the town...

Please note: there was an initial error; it's not the town of Bourg, which is about ten kilometers away, but the town of Pugnac. We drove around a bit trying to find it. Bourg is a very pretty village, and Pugnac has a town center that we didn't visit, with an Intermarché supermarket at the entrance.
