The accommodation and the breakfast were great! The host was very friendly and helpful too. They have a large garden, with pool, that should be great during summer. Plus a very cute (small) dog that came welcoming us.

Loved everything about it. It was spotless clean, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, the breakfast very good and really well priced. The staff so nice and helpful. Location is not in the city but it is just a 10 to 15 min leasure walk.

Le Manoir Saint Thomas is a hidden precious gem of Amboise. It has a prime position to the centre of Amboise chateau, restaurants, shopping and the Loire river. The rooms are clean and have been beautifully and authentically restored, it has a secluded pool and garden and is serviced by the most wonderful of people who made our visit a memorable and delightful experience. Very nice hotel, well designed, very comfortable bed, quiet, excellent breakfast with homemade products, very close to the entrance of Chateau de Chaumont. The restaurant has a limited menu but the tastes and perfumes are superb.

We had a lovely room in the main building thankfully with air conditioning which ensured a good nights sleep in the very comfortable bed . Dinner and breakfast were excellent with both taken out on the terrace overlooking the countryside . Whilst it is the perfect stop over en route through France we intend to make the effort and come back for a longer stay in future.

There is nothing to do or see in Cangey itself.

There is nothing to do or see in Cangey itself. The Cottages are located outside Fleuray, an other and even smaller and emptier village on a small 9 holes course, with no driving range, synthetic grass tee boxes and greens, with no par 5 and a very short par 3 requiring a lob wedge. Don't see any reason to play it twice. Amboise is a nice touristic city in the neighborhood, but 25 ton30 min drive away.

A truly worthwhile experience, especially after our overnight stay. The parking is a bit small but sufficient for one car. Everything is well laid out and superbly equipped, even a small barbecue with charcoal and firelighters. What more can I say? A lovely little outdoor area, a very peaceful village, and we even witnessed a hot air balloon landing nearby. In short: accommodation that's definitely worth a visit.

Excellent quality accommodation, very quiet, in the open countryside. A bit pricey considering that breakfast is not included and cannot be eaten on site. The proximity to Amboise and Chaumont (about 15 km) is still a plus.

We went to Cangey because our children gave us a gift...

We went to Cangey because our children gave us a gift certificate for a meal at Domaine de Freuray, which unfortunately they let us down. They didn't honor our reservation; it's outrageous.

We had a great experience at Le Fleuray! First off, dinner and breakfast were amazing. The hotel was located in a quiet area perfect for a restful holiday, but still close enough to most of the major chateaux. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and we also loved the decor, a little old fashioned, but so so soso cute and charming. Just all around the most lovely and comfortable place we stayed at on our Loire valley trip!

We’ve stayed at Le Fleuray many times and it never disappoints. The location, ambience, facilities, food and welcome are great and just what we look for in a hotel. Everything about it works perfectly for us. And for what you get, the price of a garden room and the restaurant menu is very affordable.
