On arrival after a long day's travel we had a lovely welcome from Julien with very welcome cups of tea shared with him in a beautiful lounge. Julien gave us some great information about the area as well as a good recommendation for somewhere to eat in Argentan. The room was clean, comfortable, full of charm and well supplied with tea and coffee. Finally breakfast was delicious, plentiful and varied. All in all a very pleasurable stay with an attentive and friendly host.

What a beauty spot the inspirational hosts have created here. We loved every minute of our stay. We loved the furnished tent and facilities, such attention to detail (and efficient hot shower). We loved the family of hens and animals (can visit them on the other side of the lake) the peace and tranquility of the lakeside and the unforgettable hospitality and kindness of the host. We’d return in a heartbeat!

This was a truly exceptional place to stay as the host had thought of everything. The place was very clean and the wood burner kept us toasty warm. With an upstair area it far larger than we expected and having two large TVs was also surprising. The host was very helpfully and spent ages with us explaining all the local attractions, so we had the best stay.

We decided to have dinner and breakfast too during our three night stay. Every penny worth so recommended! Your meals are served in your own cottage. Very private. The cottage is cosy, very complete and quiet. The host couple Sharon and David are more than friendly. We real feel ourselves guests! Be careful with the shower, it could be very hot. There is a hottub in the garden, free for use. We did not used that.

Peaceful location with secure parking and ok for a...

Peaceful location with secure parking and ok for a motorcycle. It was Sunday when we arrived and nothing was open so either eat before arriving or have provisions to cook. Being on a bike we had not found anywhere to eat and the only option was pizza from a ‘whole in the wall’ but I have to say it was surprisingly good! In fact better than a takeaway pizza from anywhere in the UK! The people next door learned of my birthday and brought me a bottle of cider to wash down the pizza! The accommodation was clean and tidy and would only have benefited from having a fan due to the high temperature.
