Lovely welcoming reception area and staff. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean, towels soft, bed so comfy and everything thought of. Grounds and pool very well cared for. Couldn't fault it at all and would certainly recommend and visit without doubt when next in area.

It felt like stepping back in time but in a good way. Le Grand Hôtel is an intriguing and interesting place to stay in a beautiful mountain location. Everything was spotless and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The pool had lovely views too and I thoroughly enjoyed swimming in it. We stayed for three nights and had a spacious suite which was exceptionally good value. We enjoyed the food and one evening there was a White Party which we joined in. 30 Euros for a delicious three courses meal, red, white and rose wine included in bottles not carafes and music. We also booked a couple of treatments in the thermal spa. One of these being a white clay flotation pool - an amazing experience to be weightless! There are gardens and a lake to wander around and a small gorge and imagine what it was like in its heyday in the 1930’s/40’s. We loved it all!

This is a wonderfully decorated place, perfect for a quiet weekend for two or small family or as a base or stepping stone to explore the Pyrenees. One really feels at home with a nice pateo to rest and a freshly-made breakfast on the terrace with a fantastic view. The host was extremely welcoming! We could only stay one night, but would love to be back!

Our stay was amazing. The view from the hotel is beautiful and the service is also perfect. Noortje was an amazing host. We asked her for a vegan option for the breakfast and she surprised us with a whole delicious vegan breakfast with homemade soy iogurt. We used the shared kictchen and it's perfect. We highly recommend staying in this hotel.

An extremely well equipped apartment with mountain views sat above Vernet les Bains. Very warm welcome with everything explained with care. Apartments is very comfortable and of a good size with excellent kitchen and shower room. A balcony to two side looks over the town and onto the mountains. Walk to the village centre takes less than 10 minutes. Markets on Wednesday and Saturday when we stayed.

Very welcoming host. Room was perfect, everything for the traveller - air-conditioned, comfortable big bed, excellent shower and very nice overall decor. Lovely courtyard to relax in and good breakfast (extra). Very peaceful and quiet location. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for three nights and had a spacious suite which was exceptionally good value. We enjoyed the food and one evening there was a White Party which we joined in. 30 Euros for a delicious three courses meal, red, white and rose wine included in bottles not carafes and music. We also booked a couple of treatments in the thermal spa. One of these being a white clay flotation pool - an amazing experience to be weightless! There are gardens and a lake to wander around and a small gorge and imagine what it was like in its heyday in the 1930’s/40’s. We loved it all!

This is a wonderfully decorated place, perfect for a quiet weekend for two or small family or as a base or stepping stone to explore the Pyrenees.
