This was an overnight stop on our way back to the ferry port...
This was an overnight stop on our way back to the ferry port near Caen, so more of a functional one than a sightseeing one, though we did head to the château at Villandry after leaving, which was only about 25 minutes' drive via the scenic route through Savonnières. There was a choice of decent restaurants in easy walking distance for dinner and breakfast was fine. The room was very hot when we arrived and the aircon not working but the lad on the desk explained that it can either be set to cool or to heat for the whole building and the weather suddenly changing from cool to hot had left the 'wrong' option enabled. We were able to cool it down by opening the door and window but that did admit quite a lot of traffic noise.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The area is fine The hotel is definitely not. Dirty. Broken fittings. Bad smell. Toilet flush broken. Soap dispensers empty. The first room had a broken sink. We were told they were full. You have walk behind hotel which become very handy for us. Dinner in restaurant was ok,bit pricey and small portions but breakfast in the morning was one of the best ones we ever had in hotels. Plenty of choice and tasty. They even had homemade yoghurt. Rooms are comfortable and you have everything you need and more,only complaint is that we had some weird smell when we entered the room but it was very clean.
