The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff were extremely friendly. I was frustrated with my inability to speak French. ( next language on my Duolingo ) The room was newly renovated and the shower was amazing. The food was lovely.

Stayed here overnight to visit Vitre and then on to Fougeres. Nice little town with impressive church. Very clean and well maintained in the town centre with good range of bars and boulangerie for breakfast. Happy people !!

Friendly staff; we stayed in the annex. The room was large, but without air conditioning it could get very hot in the summer. A fan was provided, which was necessary. All in all, good value for money.

A pretty village that seems very peaceful and pleasant. We had wanted to have lunch on Sunday at a crêperie, but it was closed for renovations and we couldn't find another suitable option! So, given the time, we decided to drive part of the way back and stop in Vitré!

Excellent and very generous breakfast: white bread, cornbread, croissants, homemade jams, and fruit juice. Great Wi-Fi connection both upstairs and downstairs. Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful hosts. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Restaurant in the village of Châteaubourg, 5 km from the room.

The place was under construction.

The place was under construction. We were upstairs even though we had requested a ground floor room. The toilet and bathroom were in the hallway. There was no signage. The area was very quiet. The breakfast was plentiful.

The most beautiful location in Châteaubourg is the Hotel Ar...

The most beautiful location in Châteaubourg is the Hotel Ar Millin, which is an old watermill, with its vast park and fascinating artworks in an annually changing exhibition. It's a good base for driving to Rennes or in the opposite direction to Vitré. We had an excellent dinner at the Hotel Ar Millin's restaurant.

The hotel and it's grounds were marvellous, parkland, lakes and a sculpture park, the town was within easy walking distance through the hotel grounds. The food in the restaurant was a delight, overall a really great place to stay.
