The house is in perfect condition with nicely decorated bedrooms and a full kitchen, living room and dining room. There is also a covered area to park 2 cars. Lovely and clean accommodation photos don’t do it justice! Great friendly communication before arrival and contactless check-in. Very comfortable beds, Handsoap provided at all sinks thank you, kitchen well supplied with utensils, great walled garden for our dog to run around in. Smartly presented modern ground floor apartment in old French house. Private terrace with peaceful green outlook beyond yard. Ample private parking. Thoughtful inclusions of appliances, equipment and "extras" for max comfort and convenience. Friendly, helpful host. Supermarket at 3 min drive. Restaurant next door. The town was delightful to walk round, to see the old houses and buildings. The church closed at 5 00 so we could not see the inside. Our hostess at the hotel provided a map and explanation so everything easy to find. We had dinner at the Cote D’Or, outside in the garden: excellent.

Unfortunately, all the restaurants were closed at the same time, either for vacation or permanently. I didn't want to try the pizza vending machine. A pizza that I didn't like was simply too expensive for a trial run. Thankfully, there was a supermarket and a bakery in town. The spring is very beautiful and easy to find. You can reach everything in town on foot.

I went to Châtillon-sur-Seine to see the Vix Treasure.

I went to Châtillon-sur-Seine to see the Vix Treasure. What a surprise to discover the Seine, a mere trickle of water! Since I was near Fontenay Abbey, I took the opportunity to visit it. If I had stayed longer in the area, I would have gone hiking.

It's difficult to be exhaustive; we arrived around 6 pm and left around 10 am. Perhaps one more thing: we walked up the street from our accommodation, and at the top there's a very shady park with a waterfall in the background: definitely worth a visit!

A great stopover destination, but there's also plenty to do in the surrounding area. Definitely suitable for families. The owner was friendly and very helpful. A beautiful, unique location. It's an old abbey, so it has a traditional interior with many period features. Very atmospheric.

A beautiful, walkable town with lovely churches.

A beautiful, walkable town with lovely churches. The museum is a must-see, as is the Princess of Vix trail. Bring sneakers or walking shoes with poles. For lunch, I recommend the restaurant L'ETAPE, just a few minutes from the town center. The town is easily explored on foot. Consider staying at the same hotel.

A renovated old town house with character, this is more like a boutique B and B. Delightful old world stairs and rooms and a charming hostess. Parking is on-site, in a courtyard though narrowish gates. There are a couple of bars and restaurants within walking distance nearby, and a hotel serving good local produce for supper
