The owners are so great..They are special because everything else from cafees to stores is closed in this earea on sunday but they were working hard on Sunday but still.friendley and great food and drinks.and the room was also perfect..like the great service.Thank you so much.best regards Erik from the Netherlands

We had a wonderful, tastefully furnished room in the gite with a luxury bath tub and a super comfortable bed. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and served in a lovely garden room. Chantelle was very welcoming and attentive. We are looking forward to staying again to see the Chateau.

An attractive town with good shopping facilities; we had the...

An attractive town with good shopping facilities; we had the usual problem of finding an open restaurant, mid-week, out-of-season. We were there to visit the Refuge de l'arche at Chateau Gontier. This is a refuge for animals rescued from smugglers, laboratories and people keeping illegal exotic pets. I strongly recommend it as an excellent organisation and a fascinating half-day visit.

Great location close to the centre of Craon, yet peaceful. Amazing buildings - our accommodation was in a gite in the grounds of the main house. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool, but it would be wonderful in summer with a large garden too. Chantal was an amazing hostess, providing a superb breakfast (including delicious scrambled egg, fresh bread and cheese). It was lovely to meet fellow guests over breakfast. Free parking was easily available nearby. A quirky, unusual and memorable stay!
