Such friendly staff, greeted with a welcome drink. Took exceptional care of us. The food was brilliant. We've been walking the GR10 and needed to treat ourselves. This was such a wonderful reward. Can't speak more highly of our stay here. We loved it. The staff even prepared an early breakfast and lunch basket to take on the hike.

Never mind the Michelin star, just go for the food. It’s an iconic institution proud of their cuisine and justifiably so. Helpful and friendly too. Look for the letter from President Eisenhower on the wall of the restaurant.

This is a small town, but I found plenty of shops and restaurants. I did take day trips each day to other towns, and I think if I have stayed in Espelette for two full days without leaving, I would have been a bit bored. That said, it was the best town to stay in, amenity- and location-wise. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm in the region.

Charming hotel in charming village. We arrived later then expected as we got stuck in an accident traffic on the motorway but were still able to get dinner, they informed us they will wait if we still want to eat. We were starving so this was very appreciated. The food here is very lovey, breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice on tap. Just not sure how are you supposed to eat cereals that are laid out with no milk in sight😁 but we did ask for it ad it was brought out immediately. The room was comfortable

Wonderful house with spacious room, wonderful garden. Very quiet surroundings, perfect to relax on the terrace. Location is perfect to explore the Pays Basque. Breakfast was very good and a lot. The hosts are very friendly and provided lots of useful information on restaurants and activities. You can walk from the house to Espelette where you can find restaurants and bars. We liked this a lot! Merci beaucoup!

Your will stay in the heart of small village Espellete which is nice. It's nice to stay overnight and spend few hours around local specialties shop. Parking is distanced from hotel 300-400 meters.
