This hotel in the middle of the countryside is surreal! Having a family of Lions seating and playing by your full-size window is something you can expect on a Safari in Africa, but not one hour away from Paris, it was amazing!! Plus, the hotel is very new and clean, perfectly decorated, the girls from the welcome desk and the guy at the bar were very welcoming and friendly. I can only recommend this experience.

Le Relais' room had an ELECTRIC JUG and paper cups.

Le Relais' room had an ELECTRIC JUG and paper cups. We had SHEETS on the bed as well which is good when it's very hot. However, the shower cubicle was the smallest we've ever seen, and would be too small for some people. We had STEEP STAIRS to the SECOND FLOOR room, and NO HELP offered with our two heavy cases, even though we are an elderly couple! The host just went back downstairs to continue having a beer with his mates apparently. Other places with stairs have offered help to me, literally a little, old woman.

It's very pleasant; we've always eaten at Le Relais, which is very well-known for its food, and the portions are excellent and generous. Getting around Fontenay-Trésigny is very easy. I can't comment on the activities offered, as we were always there with family and friends (weddings, two baptisms, and a birthday party).

Hello, we were in this region to attend the wedding of my granddaughter who lives 8 km from Fontenay Tresigny. The people we met, especially at the Relais, were very welcoming; it was a very warm place.

We went there to go to Disneyland Paris the next day.

We went there to go to Disneyland Paris the next day. It was nice to be so close to the park (30 minutes). It's a small town and there aren't many options for eating out in the evening (we were there during the week), but we did find a fast food place that wasn't too bad. We had a good laugh!

A tiny village.

A tiny village. A bit isolated, and the Relais hotel is best avoided. We stopped there for a wedding at the Château du Vivier. After spending the night in the idyllic setting of the château, the return to the Relais hotel room is jarring. Its only advantage is its proximity to the château (just a few kilometers). It does somewhat spoil the experience.

For the budget price it’s good. The staff are incredibly helpful and let me check in early on the same day I booked (after another hotel had double booked my room and wouldn’t honour my reservation).
