An authentic village with local shops (a bit pricey) but of good quality. There's even a tourist office with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ideally located for hiking directly from the village without needing a car. The farm is a bonus.

Formiguera is a small town but with all the services (bakery...

Formiguera is a small town but with all the services (bakery, butcher, supermarket, bars and restaurants...) Although it is quite oriented towards tourism, there are no large apartment buildings and it is not at all crowded, it remains a very quiet town. Nothing to do with Font Romeu or Els Angles. Highly recommended as a starting point for mountain hiking.

It has everything you need and some great places to eat and...

It has everything you need and some great places to eat and drink. There's a free shuttle to the resort. Very nice hikes. It's centrally located in relation to other resorts (Les Angles, Boquères, Font-Romeux, etc.). There's a cave to visit, 5 minutes away at most, and it's well worth the detour. Beautiful mountain lakes to admire, so bring your hiking boots, snowshoes, and crampons in winter.

Modern apartment just 5 minutes walk from Formigueres village and 5-10 minutes drive from the ski station. Pleasantly decorated in chalet style and decent size rooms for a ski apartment (some are like rabbit hutches!). I found the bed OK but my wife thought it was much too hard! Small kitchen, a good size living / dining room (although one more armchair would be good, as there is only one and a small sofa). Nice balcony with views out the back. Plenty of free parking at the front.

The hotel was in the centre of quaint village with all amenities, next to church, almost opposite the bus stop and a ski hire shop. Plenty of parking. Hotel and our Room were gorgeous. Breakfast was plentiful, albeit quite a lot of sugary choices. Evening meal was good, tasty food. All the staff were really friendly, helpful, pleasant, accommodating and very knowledgeable of the area.

The best accommodation! Clean as in the operating room. The kitchen is fully equipped. The view from the terrace is incredible. The service is at a very high level. Humane and attentive attitude to guests. If there is an ideal hotel - it is here!
