The whole experience. Had good weather so sat out with drinks and spent a couple of hours watching all the animals. Breakfast was excellent with all the local condiments and especially the salted butter.

Very nice hosts with a lot of sightseeing tips, english and french speaking. The house is beautiful and there is a cute host dog entertaining you aswell. The breakfast was of good quality.

We felt so lucky to have discovered this absolute gem in the Normandy countryside to stay for a night on our way down to the Dordogne - we actually would have loved to stay longer. Every comfort was provided, including Yorkshire tea bags in our lovely room with the tea/coffee making facilities. Incredibly comfortable bed. Debbie and Rob were such welcoming hosts and Debbie’s cooking was sublime. We will definitely be booking again on our next trip to France!

The shopkeepers are very welcoming and you can feel the town is vibrant in every way. Geographically well located, Gavray is at the heart of many places to visit and walk, easily accessible by car, both near and far, towards the Cotentin peninsula, Normandy, Calvados, Brittany... There's plenty to do!

Gavray is a small village on a human scale.

Gavray is a small village on a human scale. A little shop for every product, as in the old days. Absolute calm. However, what is exceptional is that we found the Petit Mason structure to be truly extraordinary from every point of view.

The room was very clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. The location is very quiet. We loved the generous breakfasts. The owners were exceptionally welcoming; they are truly very friendly people. We will definitely keep the address for a future stay.

Gavray is a lively town.

Gavray is a lively town. Bakeries, a butcher, a supermarket, and restaurants are all within walking distance. There's a pleasant Saturday market with fresh fish and shellfish, vegetables, fruit, and cheese. The location is strategic. Excursions to Cherbourg, Caen, and Mont Saint-Michel are just an hour's drive away.
