Cozy and pleasant apartment with microwave, fridge and several options to prepare coffee/tea. There is a small courtyard where you can chill out or read, weather permitting. Location - minutes away from the main amenities of the city. Public free parking two minutes walk away from the apartment. The hosts recommended a very good Creperie. Sylviane and Olivier were incredibly kind and helpful, always available for questions and suggestions. We had to change one of the car bulbs; they looked for a car workshop and even made an appointment for us. "Mecano" the tomcat. The sweetest cat we have ever met. Note: if you don´t want to meet the cats they can keep them away.

Of the 7 places we stayed on a two week cycling holiday, Maison des Quatre Saisons was our favourite. Our Tower room was full of character, very comfortable, with lovely bathroom and shower and fly screens on the windows so you could feel the cool night air without worrying about bugs. The only sounds were of birds. The breakfast was excellent with homemade yogurt and cereal. After a couple of swims and reading by the pool (on our rest day) we enjoyed a most delicious dinner on the terrace as the sun set. Do book dinner in advance. Delphine is a true professional and such a lovely person. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable.

Perfect location to explore the area. Lodgings were very comfortable and we ended up spending more time at the property than we planned for during our stay given how relaxing it was. Thanks to Annie and Sylvain who were great hosts - truly felt like a home away from home.

La Reole is a historic town with links to king Richard the Lionheart who built the Old Town Hall (un hôtel de ville dès le XIIIe siècle) which is preserved, restored and currently used as an art exhibition space. The center of the city is in the process of renovation which is carried out with care, skill and significant finances. The town, like most others, suffered a decline in the late 20th century but has increasingly becoming a magnet for artists and creative individuals. A delight to visit. Could do with a few more "watering holes".

Beautiful old monuments, such as "the oldest town hall in France," and lovely half-timbered facades are just some of the attractions of this city. These charming streets also often reveal surprising little flowerbeds near doorways, tended by residents for the benefit of passersby.

A small town with a rich historical heritage, perfect for strolling. It's a shame there are so many closed shops (for sale) in the narrow streets of the historic center. The choice of places to shop or find a restaurant is therefore rather limited.
